We have dreams, or nightmares that we cannot understand. The world in our sleep is described as something that sometimes feels as if it wants to speak to us. These visions a lot of the times make no sense at all. They appear quite blurry, and are soon forgotten, but then their are those visions like those of our past. They are remembered in bits and pieces. You wake up feeling odd, or confused, and even at times, you are really scared, and frozen to your bed.
I had a dream last night that people would think it was a bad nightmare, but when I woke up, I was not afraid, but felt rather peaceful. It was so in depth, the story was unfamiliar, the place, the time was just so random. I ask myself, where does my mind come up with this stuff? I know a lot of people have a hard time expressing what they seen in their dreams, but I feel that letting it off your chest is the best way, because friends will be their to listen, and understand, because they may even relate.
I am 22 years old, and I have seen a lot of things in my life. I have traveled most of my life, and I can't say that every aspect of my life has been the greatest, because if I did, I would be lying, and that is not who I am. That is why I am making this blog, because I am being true to myself. Our friends will often bring up funny dreams that they had, but we never really hear about the unusual ones, except for the flying, and the devil chasing us, or falling.
I woke up yesterday mourning, like every mourning. I had my cup of hot chocolate with the little marshmallows in them, which by the way it is so delicious. I went outside to rake some leaves, and enjoyed the cool breeze brushing up against my face. The day was pretty quiet, and I would call my friends that already had plans for the day, which was a bummer, but I made it a me day. I was just relaxing, and thought I would set down, and watch some Sunday football for a bit. I was getting pretty bored after a while though.
My phone on the table starting dancing, because I always keep it on vibrate when I'm sleeping. I answered the phone, and It was my buddy Barbara calling, and she had gotten into a fight with her husband, which was like an every other day thing, but like a good friend. I listened to her, and her problems. Barbara has not had the greatest past, and unfortunately alcohol is a main part of her life. Barbara usually finds things to complain, and fight about to her husband, when she has had to much to drink, then one thing leads to the next. Barbara starts blaming him that he is cheating on her, and there goes the lamps. This poor guy, but he stays with her, because he says he loves her to death.
Barbara and I usually stay on the phone a good half an hour. It is mostly cursing about life, and she constantly tells me that she is getting a new apartment, and she wants to know if I would move in with her. I have been down to her house, and when she is not drinking. She is totally different. She says when she drinks too fast. She goes into a blackout, where she has no idea what she is doing, whether I believe that or not. I have experienced it myself with her, and I'm glad I was not a victim of her so-called blackout.
The day was just crazy, and just plain blah, blah, blah.. I got ready for bed around 11:30 pm. I usually go to bed a lot later, but I was just so annoyed with the whole day, so I thought I would end it short. I turned out the lights, and raised the blankets to my neck. I shifted to lye on my side, and then closed my eyes. I fell asleep pretty quickly, but I woke up instantly, when I heard these loud sirens going by my house. I got up, and headed for the window to look out.
In the darkness I seen smoke from afar. There was a house that was smoking pretty badly. I was hoping every one was okay, then I seen ambulances driving by. After about an hour, I punished myself with an oatmeal cookie, and yes, I know it's not good to have a late night snacks, but It was right there in front of me, so I just had to. I laid back down, and closed my eyes once again.
I remember seeing a bright light before I was beginning to dream. It was like being in first person like real life, but I felt different. I felt like someone else. I never seen what I looked like, but that was the least that I was thinking about in my dream. I was in a room, a kind of darkened room, with the sun shining partly into it from the curtain. The way that it felt was that I was in a high school. In real life I am 22 years old, and I am out of school.
I kept hearing voices in the room, but I couldn't see no one, but I could feel they were there with me, and they were scared for some reason. I went to the window, because the light was attracting me with curiosity. I pulled back the curtains to see that I was at least on the 4th floor, because I was pretty high from the ground below. I looked out to see a lumber yard that looked deserted. I seen some students walking up to the school talking, and laughing.
I kept staring, I couldn't take my eyes of this lumber yard, because it looked so creepy. I suddenly remember seeing a crowd of people in these swat looking suits heading for the school. There was a couple of them climbing the side of the school headed right for me. I got scared as one of them got almost right up into my face with these big ugly dark eyes. I ran, and seen these double doors in front of me. I smelled smoke, and heard a big loud noise.
I turned around to see these people coming after me, and all of a sudden I felt myself turn into some sort of pieces that were falling into the ground, but I felt really peaceful, and there was no pain. The dream ended when my mind hit the floor. I woke up, but I was not afraid, It felt like I was a character that was afraid, and I was inside of it watching what it experienced. I had never had a dream like that in my life. I had never seen the area or landscapes, or that lumberyard ever. It was truly something unexplained.

You really know how to take me into your storys. You have a way of writing that is so realistic. Now, you say you felt peaceful, just reading it I got shivers. Not sure why, maybe it is close to a dream I have had. Right off the bat you spoke of the frozen to your bed. Alot, Alot, lately. Tramatic event recently in my life, I have been woken up alot more frozen since. Dreams are s'pose to be extentions of our subconscious. Don't know, great hub!!!!
