The MyVu Personal Media Viewer Experience
Even the new version of iPod Nano with its super high quality screen is very small and can be somewhat of a strain on the eyes, this is where the MyVu Crystal Personal Media Viewer or video glasses simply transform the experience of watching video or movies from a portable media device such as the iPod or iPhone with the troubles of eyestrain privacy and light reflection into a personal entertainment centre.
We were thoroughly impressed with the ease of use and just how comfortable the MyVu Crystal Media Viewer was even after a few hours of watching movies.
How The Myvu Personal Media Viewer Works
The MyVu Crystal Personal Media Viewer or video glasses themselves have to very small screens with one dedicated to each eye that are built into the hinge area which project video onto your eye via a pair of prisms located right in front of your eyes.
these prisms are placed in a way that gives the impression the video image is much further away and much larger than it actually is -- the designers of these video glasses or video goggles say that the image looks like it's a 120 cm screen being viewed from about 2 m away though since spending a fair amount of time with the MyVu Crystal Personal Media Viewer or video glasses it did feel more like it was closer to 4 feet away.

MyVu Video Glasses Ease of Use
MyVu Video Glasses Let You Work and Play!
With the MyVu Crystal Personal Media Viewer or video glasses you are able to see things around you and not be totally enclosed so you can actually be out doing things and at the same time have a video or a movie playing. I tested it out on the streets by asking people to guess whether I was paying attention to them, or to watching the video that was playing in my MyVu Crystal Personal Media Viewer, only 50% of people guessed which one.
the fact that you are able to engage in fairly vigourous activity and still watch the video, opens up the possibility of using them while at the gym out and about exercising, or even just pottering around the house doing various mundane chores. A word of caution though because the glasses projected very bright image onto your rise they do tend to make you look a little bit scary and, frankly, more than a little bit daemonic if you use in the dark.

MyVu Media Viewer Performance
as far as the video image quality and performance of the MyVu Crystal Personal Media Viewer or video glasses is concerned, we found the video image on screen is not quite as good as the real life TV image, however the resolution on the highest quality is at 640 x 480 pixels, which makes the MyVu Media Glasses lower resolution than your high definition TV. Yet the 640 x 480 resolution is certainly higher than any of the portable media devices such as the iPod or iPhone.
In comparing the visual quality of the MyVu Crystal Personal Media Viewer I found that the color compared to that of some of the other media players like iPod or iPhone was not quite as vibrant however once you begin watching and become engrossed in the video or movie you tend not to notice that as much until you compare them side by side which you rarely do anyway.
