Mystery Shopper Job Opportunities

When I saw the mystery shoppers wanted sign up on the storefront, I was naturally intrigued. I had never heard of mystery shopper jobs opportunities before, And had no real idea what they were. I love to shop, and getting a job doing it sounded like the perfect career for me. What I found when I did some investigation was absolutely fascinating.

Apparently, there are mystery shopper job opportunities all over the nation. It is an area that has been going on for a long time. Mystery Shopper jobs consist of going into a store – usually part of a national chain – and buying products. They give you money to buy the products, but you have to do something in return. Basically, you evaluate the store's service. Because you are a mystery shopper, the clerks don't know to expect you. They aren't on their best behavior – just normal behavior. That way, you can help the management to find any shortcomings in store performance.

There are a lot of different firms that offer mystery shopper job opportunities. Not all of them have the same deal going. Some of them actually pay salaries. More often, however, you do the job as a sort of bonus gig on the side. You get free products and services and sometimes a small a bonus in exchange for working as a mystery shopper. Even in this situation, it is often worth it. You get to shop in different interesting boutiques and get free stuff, and there is very little asked of you in return.

The mystery shopper job opportunities agency I was going through was just dying to expand business in the area. They were sort of offering out a few gigs on a trial basis. The cool thing about it was that you got to choose where you took your mystery shopper job opportunity. I actually was able to work in a restaurant – part of an Italian chain just opening up recently down the street. The food there is excellent, and best of all it was free. All I had to do is fill out a little form and have a five minute telephone conversation with my overseer. Not too much work for a free meal. Best of all, I was able to sincerely give a good review. I would have hated to have to tell them that the place was no good, so it was a relief that the service was excellent and the food is out of this world.
