In Search Of... The Castle Of Secrets

I first heard about Coral Castle on the 'In Search of...' show narrated by Leonard Nimoy. Videos below.

I find many mysteries fascinating and this is definitely one of them. For all our modern knowledge, advances in science and technology, there is so much in this world of ours that remains unexplained.

Things like this baffle all the experts who try to figure out how they were done. The pyramids, even tho there were supposedly thousands of people involved in the erection of them. Many ruins that today people still have no idea how they got there in the first place. Stonehenge and art that can be seen only from the air stretching across miles.

And Coral Castle is even more mysterious than many others as there was only one man involved in the construction years. A man who was just over five foot tall and weighed only a hundred pounds.

Will we ever know the secrets that many people in history seem to have known? Will our knowledge ever approach the obviously genius level of so many minds in the past?

I don't know.

I will definitely look forward to other's views and comments on the videos I've included here today....

Enjoy,

DJ

In Search Of... "The Castle of Secrets" hosted by Leonard Nimoy, Episode #112, Season 5. Part 1 of 3

Coral Castle in Homestead, Florida, is one of the most amazing structures ever built. In terms of accomplishment, it's been compared to Stonehenge, ancient Greek temples, and even the great pyramids of Egypt. It is amazing -- some even say miraculous -- because it was quarried, fashioned, transported, and constructed by one man: Edward Leedskalnin, a 5-ft. tall, 100-lb. Latvian immigrant."

Joe Bullard - Author of "Waiting For Agnes"

To the right is a video by Joe Bullard followed by an interview with Joe on "Coast to Coast" radio...

Description provided with the radio interview:

"Investigative journalist Joe Bullard returned to discuss the mysteries surrounding Florida's Coral Castle and its creator Ed Leedskalnin. The Castle and its gardens feature thousands of tons of coral rock that Leedskalnin, a frail man who weighed just 100 pounds, carved into artistic yet functional objects such as tables and chairs, a sundial and a huge perfectly balanced gate. While he made and moved these objects in secret, he claimed he used the same technology that the Egyptians built the pyramids with.

Leedskalnin said he built Coral Castle for his lost love Agnes who jilted him back in Latvia, but Bullard suggested that this tale might have been a cleverly disguised cover story for hiding his secret knowledge and scientific achievements. When Leedskalnin was in a hospital in 1951, shortly before his death, thieves stole some of his tools. Bullard believes this might have been a planned confiscation.

Leedskalnin left a message over his bedroom at the site: THE SECRET OF THE UNIVERSE IS 7129/6105195. One caller said that was the number from Leedskalnin's federal application for citizenship; another caller related the number to the "golden ratio." Bullard's book Waiting for Agnes, a fictionalized account of the Coral Castle story, incorporates the lore of Atlantis and the Bermuda Triangle into the plot.

Joe Bullard was born in Florida in 1951. He attended the University of West Florida and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism in 1974. He found out about the Coral Castle on the television series called "In Search Of" in September of 1984. During this time he was working at Lake City Community College as Public Information Director and Professor of a newspaper class. Joe spent 10 years of research at Coral Castle and started writing "Waiting for Agnes" in February of 1995. It took him five years to get the story on paper and almost four years to publish it."

It is amazing how Edvards "Edward" Leedskalnin build his castle without any help. His only relative, his nephew named Harry inherited his castle. Edward has a older brother. He never told his methods to anyone, not even his brother, sister-in-law, and his nephew how he build his Coral Castle, and he passed away in his sleep at 64. There are no living descendants of Edward Leedskalnin.

I drove to Coral Castle all the way from my home in North Charleston non stop for my vacation in October of 2007. Gosh that was a drive but I've never had a better vacation. My impression of the place was that it was somewhat "essoteric" in its' design. I felt that people who believe in the occult would love this place, I know I sure did and sure do. Also, it impressed me as a wonderful place to "party" and seemed to me that it would be perfectly logical for Ed and a group of his buddies to be in there drinking a few late at night. I mean I don't say that in a bad way, he had the grill thing made from that antique car parts, and let's face it, if people were drunk in there, they couldn't really break anything because everything was solid coral and many tons. I don't mean any disrespect. The grounds were beautifully kept, beautiful landscaping by whomever takes care of the landscaping there. I felt that the place was powerful and that a tank would have a hard time getting through those walls! I tried to open my mind while I was there. I had done a lot of reading about it before I went and almost couldn't stop myself from going. I was and still am convinced that there may be underground rooms that Ed made that are yet to be discovered. I felt that there may be some secret thing under the Florida table and tried my best to look around under there. I kept sort of sensing some sort of secret access point to allow enternace to something yet undiscovered. I was picking up something from the two beds that were outdoors. For lack of a better description I'll call them the king and queen outdoor beds. I'm convinced that there is a tunnel system or a staircase leading to a room under the queens bed. Now remember, there was a six ton thing that moved freely with the push of a hand and and of course the nine ton gate that could be moved with a finger. I sincearly feel that perhaps the Florida table and the queens bed could be moved as easily if some secret latch system were to be figured out and that there are underground rooms. I brought this up with the young tour guide there and he said, "Oh man, you can't be right, don't you think someone would have already found it out by now?" But think about it. We see the castle above the ground there. Why not make rooms and cellars and tunnels under there too. To top it all off, someone claimed that upon going down the steps and into the water of the water well that Ed made there was a room and some of Eds' tools were actually found there. There is no doubt that one subterranean room exists, my personal belief is that there are more. As I kept reaching out with my hands and my mind, I was also drawn to the roof of the living quarters. I had no way to get up there without getting myself arrested in the process, but I felt that there was something mysterious up there. Like there was some secret thing up there, where nobody could easily get to. My attention kept being called to the roof of the living quarters. I don't mean any disrespect when I say this, in fact, I mean this as a compliment. I looked at every picture of Ed that was available and in one of the pictures on the computer, it seemed that his hands were not quite the same as human hands. I'm saying they were "better" than human hands. and I think we all can agree that he proved that himself. Let me go to South Miami and try to do the same and I bet I'd fail. If anyone could do what he did, I sure wish they'd go there, extract coral slabs and do it! I mean I might could go to south Miami and rent a building and make and sell pizzas for a living but I doubt I could do anything like this! Coral Castle took my breath away. Some think that the Sphinx has an underground chamber and some think and perhaps it's true that the pyramids have subterranean rooms. Perhaps it's fact. I like to believe, I want to believe and I do believe, that Eds place in Florida, has secrets yet undiscovered. I found the carved face, the carved head in the wall, very essoteric indeed, if I'm using the right word by using the word essoteric, and I believe that if he wasn't going to something, then something was surely going to him! I mean just if you people know what I mean. I sat in some of the chairs and tried to sense what I could sence. I just found them very comfortable. I remember thinking "how comfortable for rock..." I went to the telescope and tried to open my mind. I was passing my hands over the sun dial and receive impressions. I walked outside all around the walls and I walked inside all around the walls. The people in the giftshop who were watching me on video camera and this young tour guide found me a bit strange, but the average person wouldn't understand what I was trying to do there. Is that a house like a human could build, the answer is no. Yet he built it and lived there. Is that a house like a human would build, once again the answer is no. At the best he was five feet two inches tall and 120 pounds. If that wasn't an alien, if that wasn't some sort of super human, human being, I'm saying if that wasn't a man with an IQ through the stratosphere, I just don't know what. I mean I wish the dude would have built one in every state! I'm going back there next October and I'm going to see if I can't get permission to go up on that roof and do an extensive search to try to prove my theories about the underground rooms.
