'NAN KADAVUL', THE CLASSIC TAMIL MOVIE!
63
Recently released Tamil movie named Nan Kadavul (I'm God) has become another milestone for its director Bala who has already shown his individuality in his other directed movies such as 'Sethu', 'Nanda' and 'Pitha Mahan'. The film Nan Kadavul is depicting the life style of Aghories, the saints who are living nearby the cremation grounds in Kasi(Banares) which is one of the most famous pilgrim centers of India. No one can direct this subject as perfect as Bala has done. Each and every thing in the movie has made it worthy for having great entertainment and experience. Opening itself is very nice as an young daughter and his old father is searching for the boy, son of the father, along the streets of Banares who was left there 14 years back heeding to an idiotic astrologer. Finally with the help of a local person he got back his son who has become a rough and tough aghory. After the father's persuasion the hero comes back to his native place, Malaikoil in Tamil Nadu. But, he has neverĀ involved in family life and at the end he returns to Kasi.
The hero Arya has done this incomparable aghory character and dedicated job in the movie. The costumes and makeup make him 100% real aghory and particularly he has strained himself for the inverted yoga posture in which he often appears in the movie. The film director Bala has proven his professionalism by showing, in close up shots, the abnormal faces of handicaped people who have been forced for begging to run their life. The story moves as the gang of beggars are under the control of a cruel and arrogant person who exploits the little earnings of pity beggars.
The heroine Pooja has done a marvellous job and appears as a blind singing beggar. She entertains singing old Tamil hit songs. We can enjoy very interesting climax when the hero Arya starts to fight against villain who has planned to sell some of the beggars of the gang to the other party. Maestro Ilayaraja has made all the songs hit. Not only has he made the songs hit and also nice back ground music. Dialogues are nice by Jay Mohan and cinematography is very nice by Aruthur Wilson. The most popular Tamil actor Rajini Kanth was attracted by the movie and he met both the director Bala and the hero Arya in person to appreciate them.

Yes! It's cent per cent worthy to watch. We can feel the director's hard work in every part of movie. He dared to bring together all the handicapped and spastic people infront of his camera! Thank you for your question Trsmd.
It is difficult to make movies on Aghories. But lot of material is available on them.I have heard much about the film but had no chance to view it.I can understasnd Tamil well and appreciate the movie- if I get a chance.
Dear prasadjain, Thanks for visiting this Hub! If you watch the movie, you'll get very different experience and entertainment in your life!
A good movie something different from the normal movies
of songs/romance/fancy costumes and predictable endings.
Shows we can reach god in whatever way we worship him other
than the rigid ways that we are taught.Brahmins worship
of god is rather complicated not practical for modern hindu
ways.
