If you've been miissed the latest episode of your favorite shows, such as returning favorites Friday Night Lights and Heroes, you now can catch up with them on NBC's website. And if you're trying to decide whether to board the bandwagon for Bionic Woman or Chuck, you can catch a few eps online before making that tv commitment.

NBC posts their episodes online by 5 a.m. the morning after the episode airs on broadcast tv. Half-hour shows are broken up into three segments and hour-long shows are broken up into six segments. A commercial airs between each segment and it isn't necessary to click the next segment once one ends as the next one will start automatically.

While breaking the shows up into segments does create a few lengthy pauses while the script swaps between them, it does make it convenient to watch a show in bite-size pieces, something difficult to do on the other broadcast company's websites. Most of them have a pause feature so you can take a quick break while watching video, but if you need to close your browser at any point it isn't easy to pick up again where you left off. So I think the way NBC has set up their system is beneficial to the casual viewer.

Episodes can be watched in either half-screen or full-screen mode. Their full-screen mode isn't as crisp as FOX (the best) or ABC, but I do think it is better than what CBS has to offer. Generally though I stick to half-screen mode when watching NBC TV Shows online because I prefer a better picture to a larger one.

New NBC Shows Online

NBC has several new shows for the 2007/2008 TV season and you can watch them at NBC's website. This season we have Bionic Woman and Journeyman for the sf genre fans. There's also Chuck and Life (which I've been enjoying a lot!)

I love it. I heard you can watch "Ugly Betty" online now too, via ABC's site.

Yep! I love Ugly Betty. I caught a couple of episodes when they ran a mini-marathon and thanks to ABC I can keep up with the episodes I missed online.
