What does the future hold for Americas' game?

Way before my age, players were happy enough to get a pay check and be able to play the game! Now a days you have rookies that hold out (ex. Crabtree) rejecting double 7 digit numbers? Guess it's not worth there time unless were talking at least Ten million.REDICULOUS!People can say what they want about Brett Farve, but his love and passion for the game is what truly captures our eyes.A player like JerryRice who could barely keep the tears from amassing at the podium when he retired because it was just the feeling of not being able to go out and perform every Sunday. All the blood and sweat for every Dick Butkus who played every play like it was his last and for what? RESPECT! NOT MONEY!

We are slowly approaching the no cap salary year. Does this mean that owners like Jerry jones will flash his pockets like the New York Yankees to get the best free agents out there? How can some cities compete?A team of players and pieces is the ingredients of a great sports organization, money just comes with the territory. It's just amazing to picture the owners stand point right now, especially the players involving the league negotiations.Such a disastrous era we live in not able to come to a deal on a game that we play to love, not because we loved to get payed. What are we children, have to sit every owner down in a big fancy room in a big round circle. FOR MONEY?Real AMERICANS break their backs performing their job everyday just to be able to earn a living anddddddddd RESPECT. Which is how things use to be to players especially before the 80's, a job that they loved to perform but with so much more heart and passion. Players like TO is just a great example. Doesn't go out there to play as a unit but pretends which is why he has never one a championship! You have to be willing to break your neck for 51 other players to earn that respect and put confidence in them that your willing to go that extra mile! Skills will only get you so far. So in owens' case, he should have took some great work and professional ethic from a teammate on San Francisco a few years back Jerry Rice. Work hard , keep your mouth shut, provide that great team leadership and watch the rings come. Great example last year was an old man named Hines Ward.

As a great fan and just for the love of the game, I hope all fairs well for the NFL's future. If money is such an issue, I'm sure we could find a few great football players out of the billions of people in the US.At least money wouldn't be an issue, obviously every game would be played like their last and the heart and desire displayed might be reboot some of the NFL players A****.!! God Bless America.

  • Patriots Are Missing Richard Seymour’s Leadership This YearNew England Sports Network6 days ago

Bill Belichick isn’t Nostradamus. If he was, the Patriots probably wouldn’t have traded Richard Seymour to the Raiders for a 2011 first-round pick. Back in September, New England shipped the five-time Pro Bowler to Oakland eight days before the season opener. It was a cold, harsh reminder that the NFL is a business. Seymour was in the final year of a $30-plus million extension he signed in 2006 ...
