NFL Power Rankings Week 12
51How does your team rank?
All right, I'm starting the season late, but oh well. Here's my opinion:
32. Detroit Lions - What did Culpepper get himself into?
31. Kansas City Chiefs - I feel for Tyler Thigpen. He's a decent QB on a stinker of a team.
30. St. Louis Rams - Just. Eh.
29. Oakland Raiders - Did the Raiders really beat the Jets? ::head desk::
28. Seattle Seahawks - Matt Hasselbeck was in, but nothing changed.
27. Cincinnati Bengals - At least they didn't lose, but they didn't win either.
26. San Francisco 49ers - Their team looks like they're improving under Mike Singletary, but is it too late?
25. Houston Texans - How could they have blown that lead???
24. San Diego Chargers - I can't believe they were one game away from the Superbowl last year. What happened?
23. Cleveland Browns - They BARELY won against Buffalo, but maybe changing from Derek Anderson to Brady Quinn will result in more wins.
22. Jacksonville Jaguars - Weren't these guys one of the favorites at one point?
21. Minnesota Vikings - They were so close to a win, but Tampa Bay won in the end.
20. Buffalo Bills - Such a promising start. Will they be able to pull out of their slump?
19. Chicago Bears - The Packers completely embarrassed this good team. What happened here?
18. New Orleans Saints - They may have a chance to redeem themselves after hitting .500.
17. Philadelphia Eagles - Did they seriously end their game in a tie with the lowly Bengals? Yikes.
16. Green Bay Packers - It pains me to see this great team only at a 5-5. Seriously.
15. Denver Broncos - A thriving team in a craptascular division.
14. Miami Dolphins - Wow. Pennington is sure having a better time in a rebuilding team than he was last year.
13. Baltimore Ravens - After being the darlings of ESPN, the Giants brought them back to reality.
12. Dallas Cowboys - Okay, so Tony Romo's pinky really IS that important.
11. Washington Redskins - They were so close to conquering the Cowboys, and losing two straight games may create a domino effect.
10. Atlanta Falcons - Again, another NFL darling that suffered a tough loss.
9. Indianapolis Colts - This team is looking better every week after a less than stellar beginning.
8. New England Patriots - They may have lost on Thursday night, but Matt Cassel's performance was impressive.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Their rushing is lagging, but Jeff Garcia looks more comfortable at QB than his predecessor.
6. Arizona Cardinals - Kurt Warner is having a sparkling year and this team is already 4 wins ahead of all the others in the NFC West.
5. New York Jets - Some think this rank is too high for Mangini, Brett Favre and the Jets, but after Thursday's win over an equally (possibly even better) team, they deserve it.
4. Carolina Panthers - Tough wins against some lousy teams, but their standings say it all.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers - Even if Big Ben were taken out due to injury, they have a reliable backup in Leftwich.
2. New York Giants - This team continues to surprise me.
1. Tennessee Titans - They ARE the team to beat.
The Jets improved to 7-3 despite the odds.
