The only player in the current decade to the lead the NFL in receiving yards twice is the Rams' Torry Holt. Otherwise it's been a mixed bag among some truly talented players. Here is that list of receiving yardage leaders in the current decade:

2007-Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts (1510)

After basically playing opposite Marvin Harrison for years and in Harrison's shadow on that great offense in Indianapolis, Reggie Wayne broke loose in 2007 and led the NFL with 1510 receiving yards. Unfortunately, a lot of that had to do with an injury to Harrison, but that's football. Wayne caught a personal best 104 passes for the 1510 yards with 10 touchdowns.

2006-Chad Johnson, Cincinnati Bengals (1369)

"Ocho Cinco" is one of the more exciting and animated players in the NFL, and also one of the game's best receivers. In 2006, Johnson caught 87 passes for an NFL-leading 1369 yards with 7 touchdowns.

2005-Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers (1563)

In 2005, the Panthers' Steve Smith became the second straight Carolina player to lead the NFL in receiving yards, with 1563. Smith caught a career high 103 passes for the 1563 yards with 12 touchdowns, which was also a personal career best and tied him for the NFL lead with the Colts' Marvin Harrison.

2004-Muhsin Muhammad, Carolina Panthers (1405)

In 2004, Carolina's Muhsin Muhammad led the NFL in receiving yards with 1405. It was the first of two straight years that a Panther led the NFL in that category. Muhammad caught 93 passes for the 1405 yards with 16 touchdowns, which also led the league.

2003-Torry Holt, St. Louis Rams (1696)

Torry Holt continues to be a great receiver for the Rams, and his early years with the team coincided with the "Greatest Show on Turf" era. Holt led the NFL for the second time in the decade in 2003 in receiving yards with 1696, on a career-high 117 catches. Holt also had a career best 12 TD catches.

2002-Marvin Harrison, Indianapolis Colts (1722)

The Colts' Marvin Harrison is starting to be mentioned with some of the greatest receivers of all-time, especially after winning a Super Bowl ring in 2006. In 2002, Harrison broke the single-season record with 143 receptions and led the NFL with 1722 receiving yards, a career high. Harrison also caught 11 TDs that season.

2001-David Boston, Arizona Cardinals (1598)

This is the least likely name on this list, but in 2001 Cardinals' receiver David Boston led the NFL with 1598 receiving yards. Boston caught 98 passes for the 1598 yards with 8 touchdowns.

2000-Torry Holt, St. Louis Rams (1635)

A year after helping the Rams win a Super Bowl title, Torry Holt really came into his own as a receiver, catching 82 passes for a league-leading 1635 yards. Holt had a 19.9 yards-per-catch average and scored 6 touchdowns.
