Week 10 is here and as these weeks to a close I am sadden by the fact the the regular season is coming to an end very soon. Last week I got 8 games correct and it would have been 9 if I didn't forget to post about the Saints vs Panthers game. There were a couple of surprise wins in week 9 and there will some more in week 10 and with that here are my week 10 picks, enjoy and feel free to disagree.

Bears @ 49ers: This marks the first game on Thursday night that will be aired on NFL Network going forward. This also marks the Bears defense going back to the new home of Mike Singletary. The well known Bear will meet his old team. Although this game is touted as a big match-up between two defense, it is not. 49ers defense is far better than Bears defense of today. Jay Cutler vs Nate Clemons will be the match-up to watch on Thursday night. I am picking the 49ers to come out of their slump and win this game which is being aired nationally. Final score 49ers 31, Bears 20.

Falcons @ Panthers: Panthers look dismal every week and you can't help but pick against them. It doesn't help that their division is most likely the 2nd most competitive and toughest division to be in (usually). Panthers had a lead against the Saints but could not hold on to win and ended up getting their butt handed to them. Falcons are coming after winning against the lowly Redskins. The only thing that could affect the Falcons from winning would be if the NFL hands out suspensions for the fight that broke out during their week 9 game. However, as of right now the Falcons should win. Final score Falcons 31, Panthers 14.

Buccaneers @ Dolphins: Bucs were the surprise winners last week against the Packers last week and I think the magic provided by Josh Freeman will continue this week as well. This would be my surprise pick for week 10. I would not be surprised with the Bucs win in Miami because Miami has its up and down and all the trash talking against the Patriots ended up biting them in the buttocks. I am picking the Bucs because the Miami is probably looking forward to their Thursday night match-up in week 11 against the Panthers. With that the final score in this shootout will be Bucs 35, Dolphins 28.

Lions @ Vikings: Lions get to play football again, but they will also lose again. Vikings are too powerful in every position and should romp on the Lions.Oh I forgot to mention the Vikings were on Bye in week 9. Final score Vikings 45, Lions 17.

Bengals @ Steelers: Both of these teams are tied for division lead with the Bengals having won against the Steelers in week 3. Both of these teams have been playing well on the road and make a tough match-up for each other this week. I am going with pick the home team because I think the only advantage is the home crowd cheering you on. OchoCinco might have a big game just like Brandon Marshall did but expect the Steelers to shut down Cedric Benson and let Carson Palmer make mistakes. The Steelers put on a good show on Monday night against the Broncos and continue to look like the Super Bowl team of last year. Final score Steelers 23, Bengals 20.

Bills @ Titans: Buffalo visiting the Titans just spells doom for the Bills. With all the talk about Vick maybe being the QB of the Bills future and it is just too distracting and does not help a team that is struggling. Titans are on a little win streak and winning should continue in Tennessee this weekend as well. Titans should be able to run all over the Bills with Chris Johnson who is currently the leading rusher in all of NFL. Vince Young is a good game manager and should continue to excel this weekend as well. Final score Titans 30, Bills 10.

Broncos @ Redskins: Broncos are on a losing streak and there is nothing like ending a losing streak than a favorable match-up against a horrible team. Yes I called the Redskins horrible, what are you going to do about it? Well they are horrible and things only get worse for them with Jason Campbell & Clinton Portis hurt and most likely out for week 10. So the Broncos can get their frustration out on the Redskins and get back onto winning. Final score Broncos 41, Redskins 10.

Saints @ Rams: Best offense in the league vs Worst team in the league. The Saints should at the least match their season average in points which is almost 38 points per game. It would be lucky for the Rams to score more than 1 touchdown this coming weekend. Final score Saints 45, Rams 7.

Jaguars @ Jets: Jaguars play well some times and certainly not well against teams that are mediocre. Yes the Jets are mediocre at best and Mark Sanchez is only a rookie with a great potential. Since the Jets are at home they have a better chance of winning against the Jags and coming off of bye week will certainly help the Jets. So with that I pick the Jets to win 24-14.

Chiefs @ Raiders: Worst teams in the league #2 and #3 respectably square off in this match up. With no Larry Johnson this week the Chiefs will have to move on with Jamal Charles. Unfortunately, Chiefs are no better than the Raiders and I would not be surprised if the game ended in a tie. Oakland won the previous match up in week 2 by a field goal and I think it will be the same score. Final score Raiders 13, Chiefs 10.

Seahawks @ Cardinals: Cardinals should easy annihilate the Seahawks this week. It is a home game for the Cardinals who are happy to pull out a victory against the Giants and the Bears. Seattle on the other hand were able to beat up the Detroit Lions and might even put up a good fight against the Cardinals. Cardinals played with Anquan Boldin in week 9 and he should be back in line up to play this divisional game and can only help Kurt Warner. Final score Cardinals 28, Seahawks 17.

Cowboys @ Packers: Packers have lost two straight and are back home after losing to the Buccaneers. It was an embarrassing loss for the Packers for two reason, they were playing the winless Bucs and they were playing a rookie making his first start. The Packers defense is not what it used to be and their run game on offense is very poor. Packers might be able to keep up with Tony Romo and Miles Austin on offense but their defense does not hold a chance compared that to of the Cowboys. The Cowboys should take advantage of Aaron Rodgers early mistakes and capitalize and that will be difference. Final score Cowboys 28, Packers 17.

Eagles @ Chargers: Chargers pulled out a miracle in New York last weekend against the Giants and the Eagles could not hold off the Cowboys at home. Eagles have not been a good team when traveling to the west coast. So this will be a tough game for the Eagles and I don't expect them to win this game. Yes I am picking against the Eagles because I am a realist and not delusional! I would be more than happy if the Eagles win this game, they need to keep up with the Cowboys. Final score Chargers 28, Eagles 24.

Patriots @ Colts:  This match-up is being called the rivalry of the decade, it is being promoted that way on NBC that way at least. I would not call it a rivalry because the Patriots have the upper hand against Peyton Manning they did in the past at least. This match up is difficult to gauge because both of these teams have been playing well. But who has been playing better? Colts or the Patriots? I would say the Patriots because they have been winning games convincingly meanwhile the Colts are just edging out victories by small margin. I think Tom Brady and company should be able to pick apart the banged up secondary of the Colts and whoever is the ball hog in this game will come out with a win. I am going to pick against the Colts this week because the Colts will need help on defense to stop Tom Brady. Final score Patriots 34, Colts 28.

Ravens @ Browns: Browns could be just as bad as the Rams and it does not help that they have one of the toughest divisions in the league. The Browns need a complete overhaul and don't need distractions in middle of the season like Mike Holmgren to take an upper management position. Ravens have not been playing good on both sides of the team. In my Week 9 review I had said the Ravens miss Rex Ryan desperately and can't seem to get over the fact that he is now gone. This game will be closer than most people expect but the Ravens should be able to run the ball well against the Browns and edge out a victory. Final score Ravens 20, Browns 13.

So there you have it folks my picks for week 10. What do you think? Agree, disagree? Share your thoughts.

hi, I agree with you about the Steelers! I go for chargers too, and for Colts, I think that they will pull this one and they will show what they've got, event though they are winning, you cant feel the intensity there although P. Manning is consistent, thanks for your hub as always good read!!

I gotta go with the Colts when facing the Pats. However, in any case, I think that this is going to be a high-scoring affair. I'll take the over on it, no matter how many points it is because it's gonna a be a shootout. I like your picks and predictions otherwise.

Thank God the Giants don't play this weekend. They all need to take a short break and regroup and begin playing like champs rather than chumps!

Good Post. I like you picking the Cowboys over the Packers. I also believe this is going to happen at about the same margin as you have. I have a hub on my page about it. The only thing that might effect the outcome would be how many stupid penalties the Cowboys will do. They are masterful at shooting themselves in the foot.

Bucs 35, Dolphins 28 oh how I would love to see that one. Last week watching Josh was awfully awe inspiring and I really am rooting for this kid to do it again . .and all the sweeter if against the fins.

For the Saints/Rams and the Lions/Vikings this week I think they should put the Mercy rule in place. .. Bengals are taking the Steelers and I am looking way forward to seeing that one. And though the Jets usually break my heart, I hope Sanchez can change that this week. As for My Giants, I am happy they are getting a rest this week.

Let the games begin . .
