NHL Team History and Original 6
65

The teams that made up the original 6 are the - Toronto hub from Duchess OBlunt Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadians, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. For a complete history of each team including the year they joined the NHL and city of origin, please see the table in this article.
Each year these 30 teams compete for a playoff spot to represent their town in the grand finale of hockey - known as the Stanley Cup. The Stanley Cup dual has the Eastern Conference Champion vs. the Western Conference Champion and is usually some real good hockey.
These photos were taken while the Stanley cup was on display in a local Vocational school where some famous ex-Philadelphia Flyer players signed autographs. If you are a hockey fan or know someone that is, try and get to one of these displays.
