NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner pricing

Before we answer the question on the pricing of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner and Master Practitioner trainings let's look at the question of why someone would want to take an NLP training. The truth is that NLP courses can be a real eye-opening opportunity to open your entire perspective about the world and your life. However, as you might imagine, most people don't register to take the NLP training for that reason to start off with.

Usually people train in NLP to accelerate their performance in their business practice or therapy practice. NLP in itself is just a set of techniques and ways of filtering the world around us to make it more efficient, easier to work in, and ultimately more fun to live in. By taking an NLP training you'll get dozens of powerful tools for interacting with people on a totally new level. Some of those include:

  • Rapport building
  • Communicating information to anyone
  • Quickly breaking people out of negative thinking
  • Techniques to deal with emotions and phobias effectively
  • Methods of using hypnosis

NLP is definitively based on persuasion techniques, which makes it ideal for Life Coaches, Business Marketers, and other individuals working in fields that required high levels of communication.

Pricing of Trainings

Most practitioner level trainings cost between $2000 - $3800 and last between 6-9 full days. Most Master Practitioner level trainings cost between $3000 - $6000 and last between 8-20 days. The Practitioner level training is a prerequisite of the Master Practitioner training. Some trainings run over a period of 6-12 months on weekends, rather than a full week of 8-9 hours per day of training.

Quality and accreditation

Usually, to be accredited as an NLP Practitioner you need at least 130 hours of training, which is why some NLP Trainers now offer a Pre-Training package with 20-30 audio CDs that you listen to prior to attending the intensive training. This is usually included in the cost of the training. In addition, to be accredited as an NLP Practitioner the training you take usually has to follow a standardised set of objectives that you will have mastered after completing the training.

Even though anyone can teach NLP, not everyone teaches it at an accreditation level. Furthermore, some trainers are better than others. Since a lot of NLP is taught at an unconscious level, the same amount of information is installed in student's minds as though they were taking a 3-year Bachelor's degree at a conscious level. That's why it's imperative to choose an excellent trainer who is capable of teaching both consciously and unconsciously using NLP Master Training techniques.

Unlike going to a college or university, you can't expect to receive the same level of training from any NLP Trainer you choose out of a phonebook. You'll need to look up their level of accreditation in your country and to track down a list of testimonials and endorsements that the trainer has received. NLP is usually taught by commercial organisations, not academic ones. Therefore researching several potential trainers is a great idea before signing up for a training.

Get advice at "NLP Connections"

The one-stop destination for NLP information, trainer reviews, and pre-training planning I recommend is NLP Connections. The website is run by a guy called Chris Morris, who is well involved in the NLP community. His web forum is filled with useful information and feedback about various trainers. There you will be able to find advice about an NLP trainer who specialises in area of application that you would like to use NLP in.
