Hinata Hyuga is supporting character from Naruto series. She is member of the Hyuga clan and member of team Kurenai.

Hinata is the eldest child and successor of the Hyuga clan's head family. Because of being born first, she was expected to inherit role of Hyuga clan's leader along with head family privileges, rights and duties. Since head family kept best techniques for themself, she was expected to become very strong ninja. Because of that, she was regularly put through hard training by her father, who had big expectation for her. And there she failed. Hinata wasnt suited to become strong warrior, she was too kind. Even her younger sister, Hanabi Hyuga, was stronger than Hinata. For her father she became nothing more than disappointment. She was left under Kurenai's care as regular genin. When Kurenai asked her father if  he is okay with possibility of Hinata's death on the mission, he said that he has no use for a weak heir. Hinata joined team 8 along with Kiba Inuzuka and Shino Aburame.

Hinata was shown to be rather shy. She is generally kind, soft-spoken and polite. She is seekig harmony and avoid troubles. Hinata also dislike competition ,fighting and dont like to see people get hurt. She lack self-confidence as a result treating her as inferior by her father.Hinata is able to understand other people's pain, and is one of the few people who knows how painful Naruto's childhood was. She has always watched Naruto, probably because he was often treated in same way as she was. But he never gave up,believed in own worth and was trying hard. Inspired by him, Hinata also began train hard to make others acknowledge her. Hinata's admiration for Naruto, despite being painfully obvious to almost every other character, has never been noticed by Naruto, who has always been disregardful to her attention.

During a chunnin exam's preliminaries fights, Hinata had to face her cousin, Neji. She almost broke down and gave up after Neji told her that she is nothing more than failure who could never change. This made Naruto angry, and he cheered Hinata on, giving her courage to fight Neji. In the spite being no match for him, she continued to fight against him even after she was injured. Holding grude against Hyuga clan's head family ,Neji almost killed her in the match. Seeing this, Naruto swore to defeat him. After long battle Neji lost in the end. After fight, he was approached by Hinata's father, who confessed him truth beyond Neji's father death and also asked for his forgiveness. Conseguently, Neji began trying to remedy the damaged relations between himself and the main house members, mostly by being kinder to Hinata.

As a subcharacter she hadn't too much screen time in original manga, but in anime filler she recived most screentime of the all subcharacters. There is shown her popularity. Apparently many people can identify with her, that they are not the way their family, friends or others want them to be. Or people who are not always self-confident or love someone and cant express their feelings to that person.

Hinata usually has timid and shy expression. She has dark blue hair and like the rest of her clan, she possesses the famous Byakugan eyes, which colour can be defined as lavender. Imitating Byakugan you will get better result with computer retouching instead of lenses .Her hairstyle before timeskip compose of straight cheek-length sidelocks and frontal fringe, while rest of hair is cut short. For clear understanding is better to look at the pictures instead. After time skip, her hairstyle can by identified as hime-cut style. Hime cut ( literally princess cut in Japanese) is a hairstyle consisting of straight, usually cheek-length sidelocks and frontal fringe. The rest of the hair is usually worn long and straightened. Since she graduated of academy, she wore her Konoha forehead protector around her neck.

Hinata used to wear a pale hooded jacket that had a fire symbol on the upper right and navy blue pants. As Hinata becomes a Chunin, she begins to wear a white-lavender jacket and navy pants with black sandals. Here are some great Hinata cosplays.
