National Health Care - Givers or Takers
58Life & Death & the Government
Health care is a very personal thing. I prefer Homeopathic options. If I have a broken arm I can go to immediate care, pay for my treatment, and be on my way. With Schip, Medicaid and other Federal & State programs, including the mandates that no person can be denied emergency health care. Tell me who is not covered, if they need coverage? . The young and the restless are invincible and don't think they need health care (they can and will pay), there are those who believe in prayer, some may only have a catastrophe health care plan others may seek out other than government mandated treatment. Should these people, if they can afford & choose to pay for their own medical treatment be forced to pay a fine because their plan doesn't meet government standards? If people can pay should they be on a one side fits all plan? Save money, let those who can pay, pay? Should small business have to pay a fine if their program does not meet the government standard (which of course it won't) . If citizens don't agree with the government approved treatments, should they be forced to take medication they don't want? You have your standards, you have put your faith in government, I don't, why should I have to pay for you? I spend less than $1,000 per year on my health care. Why should I pay $800 per month for a policy I don't want, why should I Pay a penalty for a health care system I don't believe in? Just because you think the health care system rocks, does that mean I have to participate, even if I don't want to? Where is my freedom of choice? I have no challenge with your choice, don't take my choice away. With National health care there is always rationing, the elderly pay the highest price. Read the Canadian Papers, the UK papers, particularly the Daily Telegraph. National Health care gets rid of the non-productive, the elderly & the disabled, young or old. They won't pay for expensive drugs to keep the old folks (your parents or grandparents) alive, nor will they go the extra mile for your grandchildren with birth defects, leukemia your parents & grandparents that have given their whole life to you, to this country, are they now less worthy because they are old). Health care is about the survival of the fit, the less expensive, the "normal" working class that can provide future dollars to the government.. I have only known one politician in my life that did not accept a pay increase, who drives a beat up old car, only one politician who puts his mouth where his beliefs are. (Even though I may not agree with what he belives, I respect his stance, he doesnt' appear to be bought & paid for) Only one.
