I have spent the last 5 years of my life on the edge of two of the largest Indian Reservations in South Dakota; Standing Rock and Cheyenne River. As I think about the dating scene in Indian Country, this time near the Rez has shown me many things about the way that American Indians, specifically the Lakota Sioux interact with each other and with the white people on the East side of the Missouri River. At the time of this writing, not a single site listed in the top 10 on either Google or Yahoo was specifically devoted to the helping Native American Singles find love or romance. In fact, most were either websites that are trying to trick you into believing that their members are Native or websites that are designed to get you to click on ads for other websites. It is about time that someone steps up and offers an honest and legitimate way for single Native American Girls and Guys to meet and exchange messages in a way that is both safe and sensitive to the needs and culture of the American Indian People.
