Fictional Native American Story Using Scroll Saw Woodwork

Geronimo was looking for a way to make the dream he had last night make some sense. He was older in years now and had learned in his lifetime that there was reason in everything. All life holds a purpose and everything in it was part of a greater meaning.

Last night Geronimo had a dream about an Indian angel. The angel told him that the future was going to change for all his brothers and sisters in this great indian nation. All tribes would not know the life that was before them and a great many of them would die. The land would no longer be theirs and would be taken over by peoples of a different race. That Father Sun and Mother Moon could not stop what was about to happen and that Geronimo must find the leaders and medicine men from all the other tribes and warn them of the impending changes.

Geronimo went to look for the Chief of his tribe and found him meditating near the lake by a mountain. Geronimo stood and watched the Chief and when he saw that he was done meditating, he went to him and told him of the dream he had. The Chief told him that the dream meant that Geronimo must take a journey and do as the indian angel told him.

Geronimo packed few belongings and set out on his journey. Two days into the journey he came upon a Plains Indian who had been hunting. He told the Plains indian all about his dream and warned him just as the indian angel had. The Plains indian told him to seek out the Storyteller in his village and share with him all that he dreamt.

Geronimo continued his journey to the village and spoke to all who would listen. He then came across the Storyteller and told him everything and again shared the warning from the Indian angel. The Storyteller called a meeting of the tribe and all attended including the medicine man. The medicine man went to his teepee and for three days stayed inside asking Father Sun and Mother Moon about Geronimo's dream.

On the third day, the Indian angel showed itself in a vision to the medicine man. In the vision, the angel showed the medicine man another vision of things to come. The medicine man then left his teepee and went to Geronimo and the Storyteller and told them what the Indian angel had showed him. He drew on the ground the last vision that he saw.

Geronimo and the others stared at the drawing and knew that there was a great many changes coming and that they weren't good ones. Geronimo memorized the picture and left the village to share with all the other tribes this vision. He had to warn them and now he is sharing this same vision with you.
