Natural Acne Pimple Treatment
72Pimples are the common term used for acne vulgaris, a medical condition
where the skin’s pores are blocked because of too much oil, too much
dirt, or simply because of hormonal imbalances that inhibit the skin’s
natural capacity to respond to the dirt build up. In some cases,
pimples are caused by stressful living conditions such as problems at
work or school, which indirectly foster pimple growth on the face
because of lowered immune system functions that lead to skin prone to
bacterial infection, which usually happens once the pores are blocked.
It is also a common condition for teens, although the condition can
affect anyone
The various pimple treatments
Removing pimples on your skin has never been easier because of the
various treatment options now available. A long standing problem for
many people and almost a rite of passage for the youth, many effective
home remedies have been formulated to solve pimples. New drugs and
other medical options are also available for treating pimples.
Home remedies
The easiest way to treat pimples is by defending yourself from pimple
development through a good facial skin care regime. Always wash your
face in the morning and before sleeping, and if your skin is especially
oil, you may want to wash up during the day. Diet is another leading
cause of pimples. Among the common food culprits are fatty foods which
add sebum or oil on the skin leading to pimples.
Masks
Once you develop pimples, however, a home remedy that you can try is
the various homemade masks whose primary ingredients are found right in
your kitchen cupboard. Bitter gourd, garlic, and egg masks are some of
the common mask ingredients. Bitter gourd is an Asian secret that many
are beginning to use for effective pimple treatment. Grind the fruit in
a blender, and apply on the face. Bitter gourds are usually found in
Asian groceries as well as specialty shops. Garlic works because of its
natural antibacterial properties which remove bacteria festering on
pimples to quicken the healing process. Eggs, on the other hand, will
absorb the comedones or blackheads that clog the pores.
Medical
If home remedies do not work for you, medical options that you should
consider include the use of various facial creams and pills to treat
pimples. The common ingredients in these products are alcohol and
acetone that help in removing dirt that blocks the skin’s pores.
Salicylic acid and sulfur in small amounts helps reduce the bacteria in
the pimples, as well as reducing the swelling and redness.
Laser treatment
For worse cases of pimples, laser treatment administered by
dermatologists is an option. This is especially useful for treating
uneven skin as a result of prolonged cases of pimples on the face.
Laser treatment should be accompanied by other products to prevent the
condition from recurring. A dermatologist will often prescribe special
pills and creams to treat pimples especially if it is a recurring case.
With the many pimple treatment options available today, getting clear
and healthy skin is easier.
