Natural causes of global warming are certain gases which are labeled under the head of greenhouse gases. What are these greenhouse gases? They are gases like carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide etc which trap the solar heat rays and prevent it from escaping from the surface of the earth. These gases as such increase the total temperature of the earth as a whole and hence global warming.

Basically this danger of global warming has been created by mankind and as have been seen through a series of years mankind is responsible for most of the geological disturbances which have been happening in the past few years. Ultimately it is mankind who suffers. But still we are not aware and do nothing to bring the situation under control. According to some studies now it may be too late to do anything to reduce this warming and catastrophe is what we are waiting for.

Coming back to the point of greenhouse gases carbon dioxide is the major culprit. More than sixty percent of the total global warming is occurring due to the rising levels of carbon dioxide in the air. Along with carbon dioxide chlorofluorocarbons, nitrous oxide and methane also play a major role in alleviating the situation. The production of these gases is somewhat natural but maximum of the production of these gases is from human activities and human made products like cars, factories and even our cooling systems and refrigerators.

It is important to mention that due to the cutting down of trees to clear up space for the building of houses and factories global warming has increased significantly. Now due to the reduction in the number of trees available it is evident that carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere will rise since number of trees present today on the planet is not enough to convert all the carbon dioxide produced into oxygen. Further the burning of wood and fossil fuels also gives rise to methane gases and carbon dioxide while agricultural and industrial processes produce nitrous oxide.

We all agree that there are always natural causes which can lead to rise in the temperature significantly like the sunspots, tectonic movements of the plates of earth, change in inclination of earth's axis etc. But with the boom in industries during the industrial revolution problem have been alleviated. This is because the problem which used to be created naturally could be cycled by the earth but now with such a rapid production of the same the earth is unable to cycle it anymore since before cycling of the present gases more are added to it.

Now it is seriously time to think if we can allow this to happen to us and make survival all the more difficult with the existing rat race for wealth and power.
