Creme Bath All Natural Hair Treatment

This all-natural Indonesian treatment at Bonafides seeks to nourish hair roots while keeping grey hair at bay. To achieve this, a top-secret herbal oil made from nuts, plants and flowers is applied onto hair before a moisturizing cream blend of aloe vera, carrot and avocado.

All ingredients for the Mandi Kepala (Head wash in Malay) are prepared by hair consultant Joyce, an Indonesian-Chinese who learnt the skill at a prominent beauty and wellness academy in Indonesia. As you can imagine, this means spending hours every other day on roasting, pounding and frying the nuts alone for pure first-pressed oil. Kept warm over candle flame, a kayu wangi (scented stick) is added to the herbal oil pot for a spicy aroma. It is applied onto hair prior to the fruit cream to help restore hair shine by stripping away layers of shampoo, conditioner or dye residue.

An elaborate wrapping procedure involving a hot towel, aluminium foil, two shower caps and black cloth ensues - the same way as it is being done in Indonesia.

With the removal of shampoo and grooming product residue, hair feels lighter. Best of all, it revived the brightness of my dye job. The accompanying head, neck and shoulder massage is a restful bonus.

People with brittle and dry hair from constant chemical treatments like perming or coloring. Promotes hair growth, purifies scalp and aids in dandruff treatment

Nearly 20 years in the business, ISO-certified Bonafides is a onestop provider of spa treatments, hair services as well as grooming essentials like depilation. Besides the use of modern equipment, they are also passionate advocates of natural ingredients such as herbs, oxygen, gold and vitamins.
