Are you in search of some natural heartburn relief?  Heartburn is a condition that can affect the young and old alike, men and women.  Now it’s true that it tends to strike those who are overweight more than those who are physically fit, but other than that, anyone is fair game.

It’s a good thing you’re here on the internet looking for some remedies for heartburn as there are plenty of solutions to be found here which will provide you with some natural heartburn relief.

Now regardless of whether you only have it every now and again, or if you suffer from acid reflux on a continual basis, the following natural remedies for heartburn should be able to bring the situation back under control:

1.        Milk and Yogurt

Milk and yogurt both work great for natural heartburn relief, the reason for this is due to all the natural bacterial cultures found within.  Both milk and yogurt will work to counteract the pH imbalance within your stomach and to help settle it and prevent you from getting the symptoms of acid reflux if you take it right after meals.

2.        Water!

One of the most natural remedies for heartburn is just drinking plain old water.  Your body needs water and lots of it to function optimally and this goes for your digestive tract as well.

Just drinking 8 glasses a day is not enough, you need to be drinking upwards of 3 liters a day at least. If you can do this, the water should help stave off any episodes of heartburn.

3. Honey and Tea

Here’s a great combo for some natural heartburn relief, it’s also a nice thing to be drinking right before bedtime. Just brew yourself some tea, preferably fennel tea if you can find it, then drink it down along with some honey to sweeten the pot. The honey and tea will work to reduce the pH levels within your stomach from getting to out of control.

4. Eat Slowly

Here’s another little trick to treat heartburn before it starts. Simply eat your meal more slowly, don’t go at it full speed ahead. This will give your body time to properly manage the food it’s being sent. It will also stop you from overeating and making the situation worse that way.

5. Don’t Sleep With A Full Stomach

Another way to get yourself some natural heartburn relief is by simply eating your last meal 3 hours before bedtime. You don’t want to have food lying in your stomach while you sleep as this is only going to cause irritation when you’re trying to fall asleep.

Now hopefully these remedies for heartburn have been of help, and remember, if you need more info, there are plenty of other heartburn cures on the Net to be found, keep looking!
