Unfortunately time marches on, for all of us. We can’t turn back the clock, but we can delay even repair some of the damage that time and the sun has done to our skin. Many people look to radical procedures like Botox or a face lift to hide their wrinkles. Before considering such extreme measures you should try all the natural cures for wrinkles. People have used these methods for centuries to and you might be surprised, by just how much they can do for you.

First let’s look at some don’ts

The sun: The first tip almost all dermatologists give you is to stay out of the sun. The sun will eventually turn your skin into something that looks like old leather. So wear a hat and sunscreen.

Tanning booths: Tanning booths have the same affect on your skin as the sun, but in a more concentrated form, so wrinkles form with less exposure.

Squinting: People like me, with blue eyes, are prone to squinting, in bright light. Doing it a little is OK, but when you do it too much crows feet form along the sides of your eyes. To stop this from happening buy some sunglasses and use them whenever you go out in bright sunlight.

Pillow wrinkles: Some people burry their face in their pillows when they sleep. This can cause small pillow wrinkles. Try to sleep on your back or in another position that keeps your face out of your pillow. The wrinkles should disappear over time.

Smoking: Smoking causes wrinkles around the mouth. It also decreases the circulation in the small veins in the face. This causes your face to be more prone to wrinkling. So definitely, stop smoking, if you want to fight wrinkles.

Natural cures for wrinkles

Massages: Using your fingertips and thumbs, firmly massage your face and neck. This improves circulation in the veins under your face, which resists the effects of aging.

Exercise: Exercising the muscles in the face and neck can dramatically firm up the skin. Watch the YouTube videos to see how people exercise those muscles. Performing these exercises might look silly, but they do work.

Pineapple: Pineapple is the best natural cure for fine wrinkles. Take the core of the pineapple and rub it over your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with cool water.

Lemon: Lemon is the best natural cure for deeper wrinkles. Once a day take a slice of lemon and rub it in the affected area. Leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse the juice off.

Coconut oil: Apply this to wrinkles before bed and leave it on all night.

Ginger and honey: Eat a spoonful of shredded ginger with some honey every morning. Also make sure that your diet has enough fresh fruit, vegetables and whole grains.

Wrinkles under the eyes: Take 2 stainless steal spoons and put them in the freezer. In the morning remove them from the freezer and place the flat side below your eyes. This helps with swelling and wrinkles.
