Looking for a natural cure for heartburn?  Nothing is worse than that burning feeling you get at the top of your chest that slowly climbs it’s way up to your throat, it’s extremely uncomfortable and when it happens frequently like several times a week, it can be pure hell to deal with.  But you don’t have to be a victim to this condition, there are ways to cure your heartburn quickly and effectively.

Some of the best solutions are not found in stores but actually here on the Internet, with a bit of investigative work, you can find yourself a natural cure for heartburn that will end your torment.

So try out the following tactics and see which works best:

1.        Water, Water, Water!

The one thing your body needs in order to operate at it’s peak efficiency is water and lots of it.  If you don’t get enough of it, your stomach’s pH may get out of whack and lead to stomach upset.  Don’t just drink the daily 8 glasses of water though, that’s not enough, you need to be drinking at least 3 liters a day if you want to prevent your persistent heartburn from rearing it’s ugly head.

2. Baking Soda

One cheap and natural cure for heartburn is simple baking soda that is probably lying inside of your fridge right now. This works great to neutralize the pH levels within your stomach. If you don’t have any, simply pick some up from your local supermarket and keep it in your fridge, it will help to keep your fridge fresh as well.

3. Use a Wedge Pillow

Another natural cure for heartburn is to make sure your head and upper body is elevated enough so that acid reflux is not an issue. When you lie down at night to go to sleep, normally you’re lying such that the stomach acid can easily seep through your weak esophagus sphincter muscle and start burning your throat.

A wedge pillow though is about 30 inches long and has a slope that peaks around 8 inches. When you lie down on this, you’re not going to have your stomach acid crawling it’s way up.

Now if you can’t find one of these pillows online, you can still setup your own pillows in such a way that you’re sleeping on an incline, it’s just going to take a lot more fancy handy-work on your part.

4. Eat Almonds

One final natural cure for heartburn you’ll want to try is eating raw almonds. I don’t know what it is about them, but they work.

Now if none of the above acid reflux treatments work out for you, not to worry, there is heartburn medication and various other home remedies for heartburn out there for you to try out, keep searching!
