A call to ensure we preserve our world
Bernard Weber, a Swiss-born Canadian filmmaker, author and adventurer, desired to contribute to the protection of the world's manmade and natural heritage, which lead to the formation of the New 7 Wonder Foundation in 2001. The Foundation contributes to the protection and raising the awareness of cultural diversity on our planet. The Foundations also aims to document and conserve the monuments of the world. The foundation's motto is:
"OUR HERITAGE IS OUR FUTURE" New7Wonders calls on all citizens of the world to support it "
The Foundation uses fifty percent of its net revenue to fund documenting the global monument and their conservation efforts. In 2001, the Taliban destroyed a giant Bamiyan Buddha, a project completed in 2003, created a high definition 3D version of the giant Budda, which will enable Afghanistan to rebuild the statue when they are ready. A This New7Wonders Foundation project was featured in the Swiss Pavilion at the 2005 World Fair in Aichi, Japan, along with New 7 Wonders ballot boxes which allowed people to cast their votes in the New7Wonders campaign.
The Foundation is based at the Heidi-Weber-Museum in Zurich, Switzerland, an architectural landmark in itself - it is the last building designed by Le Corbusier, one of the most renowned artists and architects of the past century.
On July 7, 2007, (07.07.07), in Lisbon a great celebration was held announcing the New 7 Wonders of the World. Over 100 million votes were cast word wide. This was also the start of the campaign to select the new 7 Natural Wonders of the World.

Nominations for the new 7 Natural Wonders of the World will continue until December 31, 2008. Twenty-one finalists will be chosen in January. Voting will continue throughout 2009 with the New 7 Natural Wonders of the World will be announced in mid 2010. , the results of the new natural wonders of the world will be announced. Currently there are nominations from the following countries.

I am mexican and I dont think the Paricutín is the best natural wonder we have.
I can recommend the Sumidero Cannyon in Chiapas and the cenotes in the mexican Caribbe
one is call the Renacimiento in the Mayan Riviera.
