Natural Appetite Suppressants that Work
75If you follow the diet craze at all, you've probably seen the "low carb" fad come and go, Ephedra get pulled off of shelves, and Hoodia take the country by storm. Low carb was great because by eating such a diet, your body was forced to burn fat first. The problems were in the long term, for an exhausted person that ate few or no carbohydrates rarely had the motivation to exercise.
Ephedra brought up the "need" for a natural weight loss supplement, so Hoodia popped into the mainstream. Since Hoodia Gordonii grows naturally in the deserts of South Africa, it seems "safe" and effective as a means to lose weight. Hoodia is a natural appetite suppressant, and according to the masses, it works.
The main reason that people gain weight is because they take in more than they burn off. Translated, it means that they eat too much and don't get enough exercise. When a natural appetite suppressant is taken and works, half of the battle is eliminated. When the feeling of not over-eating takes hold, a feeling of energy naturally comes through and makes you want to get up and exercise, which in turn makes you lose weight. That's why I've come up with a list of natural appetite suppressants that actually work.
Hoodia
Green Tea
In all of its splendor, green tea does so much for you, including keeping your mind off of the munchies. Oprah swears by it.
Coffee/caffeine
Apples
Water

I also have heard that peppermint helps supress your appitite... So, I bought a pkg of thin mints and those Andie thin mints.... and I eat them here and there whenever I feel hunger coming on and it really does work! I also drink a cup of coffee a day and drink a lot of water. The only problem I have is that the only kind of birth control that works for me is the depo shot ... and that stimulates hunger.
And on a final note...
Don;t take any supplement, natural or otherwise, without first speaking to your doctor or pharmacist for possible drug interactions. Just because something is natural, it doesn't mean that there won't be side effects.

when did they stabalize hoodia? it's a plant and like aloe vera once it's cut it looses it potency fairly quickly,
aloe vera did not work until scientists found a way to stabalize it, so when and how was hoodia stabalized? also if oprah swears by green tea why is she paking on so much weight? just sensible questions
