Kids with outstanding naturalistic intelligence have such a big desire to observe the nature around them. They are capable of identifying and classifying many types of plantations, rocks, animals, all flora and fauna.

This type of intelligence shows up when the kids get to the age of three to four. For example, they have knowledge of many types of dinosaurs and they can name each of them.

However, this type of intelligence is actually in possession of every single person since they are born. What makes some people or kids have an outstanding level of this intelligence is because their parents are very good at stimulating their kids.

Here are some activities that can help stimulate your kids’ naturalistic intelligence:

• Get them an aquarium

By having an aquarium, you let your kids own their own laboratory at home. They can daily watch those fish’ behavior. Later on, they might learn that there are some types of fish who cannot live together at the same place. Or, they can also learn the beauty of the fish’ colors and shapes.

• Provide them with a small diorama to set some insects, dry leaves, rocks or shells

For kids who love keeping insects, dry leaves, rocks or shells, you can provide them with a small diorama—a self-made would be preferable. That way, they can keep their collections in such a great place. Get a wooden box of 25 x 25 x 10 inch, on the bottom place a plain paper. Then, ask your kids to arrange their collections in the box. They can also draw the plain paper the way they like it to illustrate the real place of their collections such as desert, sands or sea.

• Take them on an adventure in the forest

This type of outdoor activity would be great for them to observe the nature. They can cross the streams, canoeing in the lake, collecting leaves they found on the pathways. Just remember to prepare everything for your kids’ safety.

• Help them collect stamps with pictures of plantations or animals

They would love to see and keep stamps with their favorite plantations or animals. Get them a stamp book to keep all their collections.

Sometimes, kids with an outstanding naturalistic intelligence would ask you some unusual stuff such as having a certain of weird animals as pets or any other things you never imagine. So, it’s better to get very well prepared.
