The Lost Secret Of Relaxing With Wind Chimes
66I think today we have so much going on in our lives ......stress is inevitable.
But there is a simple way to reduce stress with a small corner of your yard and a wind chime. If your thinking that they are just a bunch of noise then you haven't experienced Corinthian wind chimes.
I think my first experience with wind chimes was when I was watching the movie Body Heat and on the couple's upstairs bedroom balcony they had several wind chimes. I thought how awesome it must be to stand up there on the balcony pondering life while the wind ever so gently produces such melodic beautiful music on these. I imagined drifting off to sleep as they helped calm my mind.
Since that movie I started collecting all kinds of wind chimes. I had metal, bamboo even glass. I had several in my back yard and I also kept some on the other side of my house outside my bedroom window to lull me to sleep.
It wasn't until I found Corinthian wind chimes that I really developed a passion for them. I bought a very large wind chime and took it home. The deep sounds coming from it sounded like church bells in the distance. From that day on Corinthian wind chimes were the only ones I wanted to own. These are really one of a kind.
My family frequently would buy me wind chimes for a Mother's day or a Christmas present, because they knew they could never go wrong with that present. One year as my kids knew I also love palm tress they thought they had the perfect gift for me. It was a palm tree wind chime as I opened it and tried not to be disappointed because it sounded more like noise rather than the soothing, soul reaching sound I was used to having with my Corinthian wind chimes.
You might say I became somewhat of a connoisseur of wind chimes. They truly have a tone that is unmatched by any wind chimes you might see at your favorite department store.
Once I had some friends and family over once for an cookout. While we all sat around enjoying the day, my brother-in-law said "What church are those bells ringing from?" I responded "they are peaceful aren't they" glancing over to my husband smiling. It wasn't until my brother-in-law later said how long do they ring those bells that we broke down and told him it was our wind chime. He couldn't believe it, he later tried to steal my chimes so he could take them home with him.
You just have to hear them to believe it. I have since purchased several other sizes and they all complement each other. My favorite is still the 50 inch one that sounds like church bells.
My husband while at first objected to the slightly higher cost of these wind chimes compared to the ones found in department stores. But now I think he enjoys them more than me. When he comes home from work the first thing he does is goes and sits under our tree with our two wind chimes.
When the first sign of spring arrives he gets them and hangs them up in our tree. You can leave them out all winter, they are very sturdy, but the strong Ohio winter wind we have had the last few years seem a little too brutalizing on them.
If you need to relax or looking for a great gift, I'm sure your spouse will love Corinthian wind chimes.
Technical stuff for the person who needs to know more.
All Corinthian Bells are artistically designed while offering weather resistant and durable materials and construction. Corinthian Bells are meticulously crafted from anodized or powder-coated aluminum tubes. Aluminum is the most popular metal for the tubing of outdoor wind chimes because of its strength and easy care.
These beautiful chimes handcrafted in VA, USA. Corinthian Bells are individually hand tuned to the five different tones of a pentatonic scale which means that 5 notes from an octave are represented. This produces profoundly soul reaching, rich resonating tone quality.
If the chime has more than 5 tubes, the highest and lowest notes are the same note (different) octaves. If a chime has less than 5 tubes, only that number of notes is represented. The sound of the chime is not affected by the colors of the tubes. Therefore, the tonal quality and brilliant resonance of the chime applies to all colors.
Corinthian Bells have metal color coordinated mounting plates and sails (paddles) with black strikers. The tube cables on all Corinthian Bells Wind Chimes are strong polyester offering strength and endurance while blowing in the wind.
NOTE: The length measurements are provided by the manufacturer and go from the tip of the hanger to the bottom of the sail.

Oh my goodness. You made them sound so peaceful. I never cared much for wind chimes until I read this. I guess I only heard the cheap ones. I think I'll look into it more now that you've wet my appetite.
