Needle felt catnip mouse
49This little mouse was so much fun to make for the cats! It has a little cloth bag of catnip inside, and is needle felted using wool roving, which the cats also love. I used gray wool yarn for the whiskers and tail. This pattern came out of the sweet needle felts book. I bought the wool to make this little mouse at www.achildsdream.com. They have a lot of new roving too, in soft baby colors.
I did change this up a little bit because the bag was too hard to needle felt into, so I sprinkled catnip onto the wool roving and then rolled it up to needle felt it! It was a lot better that way, and the cats still loved it.
