Amphetamine is a synthetic drug that stimulate the brain, increasing the user's alertness and readiness for action. This drugs can also curb appetite.

This drug became popular during the World War II, when it was used by the combat troops to stay energetic and delay fatigue. After the war they were prescribed for a number of uses.

Uses of Amphetamine :

  • To help calm hyperactive kids
  • For narcolepsy

Narcolepsy - a disorder that causes a sudden, uncontrollable attacks of sleep.Now Amphetamine is rarely use in medicine, except in the relief of Narcolepsy.

However as more and more people are using it, it became obvious that Amphetamine can bring more harm to the people who were taking it. Users are becoming dependent on this drug. They required a higher dosage to achieve the desired effects.

Negative Effects of Prolonged / Excessive Use of this Drug : Diarrhea, Headache, High Blood Pressure, Loss of weight, Aggressiveness, Restlessness, Tremors, Insomnia, Palpitation, Heart Attack and Psychosis (hallucination, delusion, illusion, etc) and some may even end up committing suicide.

This drug is taken orally or intravenously. Other names of this drug is "Pep Pills", "Speed Pill", "Wake Ups",
