Neha and Nirav’s Perfect Palm Beach Indian Wedding at the Breakers
77WOW – what an incredible event! This South Florida wedding photographer was thrilled to photograph all of the festivities on Friday and Saturday for Neha and Nirav’s most spectacular Palm Beach Indian wedding. The Breakers was their venue of choice and what a perfect choice it was! Everything The Breakers does is always beyond the norm, but their facilitation and design of this Indian wedding was truly flawless. This particular wedding was coordinated to perfection by The Breakers own Jeff Fowler. If you are planning a South Florida Indian wedding, definitely take a look at the Breakers.
More about The Breakers later, but for now I want to talk about Neha
and her unbelievable wedding outfits. She wore two magnificently
adorned lenghas, one for the ceremony and another for the reception.
She sparkled, shined and even jingled as she graced the hallways and
rooms of The Breakers. Everywhere she went people stopped to admire her
beaded and bangled elegance. She was truly a sight to behold! In
addition, Neha’s hands and feet were artistically covered with henna
designs, another stylish tradition.
Nirav, her groom, wore traditional Indian attire until the ceremony
was over and then changed into a more traditional American tuxedo. He
was beaming in both outfits!
Cameron Keating of The Breakers design studio created lavish décor for
both the ceremony and reception areas. The ceremony colors were gold
and red, with rose petals sprinkling the aisle. Behind the ceremony
altar, the mandap, were drapes with little white lights showing through
– just beautiful. The set-up really captured the colorful essence of a
traditional Indian wedding ceremony. The ceremony itself was dramatic,
with Neha arriving on a doli carried by a group of men. She ascended
gracefully and made her way slowly to the mandap. The ceremony itself
was wonderfully conducted by a Pundit who not only injected his sense
of humor into the ceremony, but also took the time to explain each
ritual to guests who might not have known its meaning.
Once the ceremony concluded, Neha stole away to change into her
next outfit while the cocktail hour was happening. We took the
opportunity to photograph both the main ballroom at this time as well
as guests and food at the cocktail hour. For this Palm Beach Indian
wedding, The Breakers devised a cuisine that was both Indian and
American for guests to enjoy. During the cocktail hours many Indian
hors d’oeuvres were served alongside such American favorites as spinach
artichoke dip. Leave it to The Breakers to pull off such a fabulous and
tasty combination of food – and so meticulously presented as usual.
The reception was set up in the Mediterranean Room, where Cameron and
his team from the Design Studio went all out creating elegant
centerpieces – all with white flowers, candles hanging from the ceiling
and once again that gorgeous draping with white lights behind it.
Simply stunning! The floral arrangements The Breakers creates are
always flawless, well put together and well suited to the room they are
in. This occasion was no different. The Mediterranean room was at once
transformed into a magical, glowing place for Neha and Nirav and their
guests to dance the night away!
As the evening progressed, we took more family photos and even a
large group shot of the entire wedding – we thought that would be fun
for the bride and groom to have. When it was nearly midnight, we
approached Neha and Nirav and asked them if they’d like to do any more
photos. Although they were clearly tired, they agreed heartily! We went
outside and captured some romantic shots with the Breakers in the
background, and a few shots in front of the fountain as well. We were
creative with the lighting, since it was really dark outside – but we
got some great ones! We then decided to go inside and get a few final
photos in the bridal suite. After that it was a wrap! It was an end to
a truly memorable and momentous Palm Beach wedding.
As a South Florida wedding photographer, I truly enjoy
photographing weddings of different cultures. It always presents new
and exciting challenges for me.

- Robyn and Kerrys Destination Wedding at the Morikami
Neither the bride nor the groom are originally from South Florida, but that's where they decided to celebrate their big day nonetheless! The Morikami was a logical place for the event, as Robyn used to visit the Morikami every year while visiting grandparents in Florida and Kerry's favorite room in the Philadelphia Museum of Art is the Japanese Ceremonial Tea Garden. Currently living near Savannah, Georgia, Robyn and Kerry were thrilled to invite their family and guests to this magical place that had so much meaning to them. Robyn and Kerry also have a lot of family members in South Florida, so the Morikami seemed the most perfect choice. The theme for their destination wedding was, not surprisingly, a Japanese/Asian fusion theme. The floral arrangements were created by Daniel Events and the Morikami's own caterer, Cornell Catering prepared the cuisine for the affair. As have many of our clients (including ourselves), Robyn and Kerry met online through JDATE and Facebook. As a South Florida wedding photographer, I meet many clients who have met through similar avenues. It seems that more and more brides and grooms are finding their soulmates online – it's totally revolutionized dating! Robyn and Kerry's jobs are interesting as well. Kerry works in student affairs at the local university and Robyn is a teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing as well as a seasonal worker at Walt Disney World. She is very good "friends" with the characters there! I always enjoy Morikami weddings, but Robyn and Kerry's was really a blast! Thanks to Robyn and Kerry for having me there to capture their special day. - 2 weeks ago
- Diana & Franks South Florida Wedding at Mizner Country Club
Diana told me that she has practically known Frank her entire life! They were friends from grade school on, then in college they began dating. Now, they are married! And what an amazing wedding they had. They had a church ceremony followed by a reception at beautiful Mizner Country Club in Delray Beach. Diana looked gorgeous in her Monique Lhuillier gown and Frank was just beaming all night. As always, Angie Cleary of Mizner Country Club did a terrific job making sure that everything went smoothly throughout the party. Dalsimer created the purple and silver coordinated décor and flowers for the room. Guests had a fabulous time rocking to the beat of Heatwave who provided the music. As a South Florida wedding photographer, I always enjoy weddings at Mizner Country Club. The impeccable grounds and architectural details provide a perfect backdrop. Each time I am there I find something new to use in my images. Diana and Frank's South Florida wedding was festive, fabulous and photogenic affair! - 4 weeks ago
- You are an extraordinary man.
Jeff: I wanted to extend my absolute and sincerest gratitude for your work on our wedding. As you are well aware I am a reluctant participant in photographs. You made the experience so pleasurable. Every time I think of your presence and demeanor I find myself welling up with emotion. I know we only knew each other a short time before the wedding, but I say with unflinching certainty that you were one of the largest components in making our wedding day as astonshingly wonderful as it was. Thank you for your work. You are an extraordinary man. All the best. BryanJeff: I wanted to extend my absolute and sincerest gratitude for your work on our wedding. - A Perfect DIY South Florida Wedding
When preparing for a wedding, no detail is too small. However, more and more brides find themselves unable to get their "perfect wedding" due to rising costs and often try and save money by compromising on a few things. Some will compromise on the food and some on the venue, but this isn't always necessary. One of the best examples we can give you of someone who strategically planned her wedding day without compromising on quality is Emily Clouser who planned the perfect Boca Raton wedding. When Emily started planning her wedding to Cesar, whom she met while working as a Catering Director at Boca Pointe Country Club, she wanted to cut costs by artistically making some of the decorations herself, or reusing older ones she had lying around. The theme for her wedding was butterflies and the colors she chose were pale pink, silver and white. She loves all things antique, so she was able to use plenty of older decorations that she found at lower costs. She used votive holders that she'd bought for another event, used a shabby chic scrap book she had previously bought from Target as her guest book. Her dress and ring both fit the theme perfectly and she even had her ring custom made to look antique. She also bought her jewelry online and was able to find something that fit her wedding theme and colors perfectly. She found rhinestone cameras online and the same website had the butterfly favor boxes, butterfly cupcake wrappers and rhinestone butterfly holders she used to hold the message for the cameras on the tables. Her favorite flowers are Peonies and Roses, so they were used in the arrangements on the big day. Instead of buying an expensive wedding cake, she and her friends got together and baked cupcakes instead and put them on cake stands. This way, they were also able to cut out on the hassle of having to cut and serve the enormous cake they would have otherwise had. For her candy table, she purchased candy from all over the place and then put it into candy jars for which she made the tags herself. She used apothecary jars she already had and purchased the remaining materials from Home Goods. The candy she bought was all silver, white and pink. Most of the materials for the candy tables she ordered from the internet to save costs. While Emily saved on decorations by using her creative abilities, she also tied everything to the theme together perfectly. She used a butterfly theme for her wedding and everything from the candy table to the flowers and menu cards were tied together by this theme and its colors, making her wedding decorations look anything but cheap. She enlisted our company as her South Florida wedding photographer, to ensure that she had perfect pictures of her and her loved ones on this special day. Emily knew us from her position at Boca Pointe Country Club. She also worked out her floral arrangements through a florist with whom she works frequently as well. Since we are in the business and speak to brides constantly, we can safely say that cutting on photography for your wedding is probably not a good idea. This aspect of your wedding is a worthwhile investment as the photography is the one element that remains. As with any artistic service, photographers usually come with the "get what you pay for" products and service. The wedding can be expensive but if the wedding photography doesn't come out well, those memories may be lost forever due to lack of experience. Therefore it is important that you hire a good, experienced photographer for your big day. - 5 weeks ago
- John and Shawndells Miami Destination Wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne
We love all of our clients from New York – and John and Shawndell are no exception! When John called us the first time there was so much noise in the background we asked, "Where are you?" He responded, "New York!" We just smiled. He and his fiancée, Shawndell were planning a true destination wedding at the magnificent Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne and they had fallen in love with my photos. After a few conversations over the course of a few months, John announced that they were hiring me to photograph their big day! As a seasoned Miami wedding photographer, I deal with many clients who are planning destination weddings here, but this couple was just so excited – I could tell with every phone call just how important this wedding was and especially the photography – this was a key priority for them. In addition to selecting the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne as their wedding venue, John and Shawndell hired Guerdy Rejouis-Abraira of Divine Designs by Guerdy and Ocean Florists to handle both the flowers for their event as well as all coordination. Guerdy's attention to detail and talents as a florist render her one of the most sought after wedding planners and florists in South Florida. As always, the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne did an impeccable job with everything. Inessa was on hand to manager the event from the hotel's end. I had a great time photographing John and Shawndell at their South Florida wedding. They were enthusiastic and willing subjects who made my job fun and easy. Many thanks to John, Shawndell and also to Guerdy for a superb wedding at an always amazing venue. - 2 months ago
