Purina Has Found A New Way To Scam The Public
For 85 years Purina Pet Food has had a reputation for producing and marketing quality pet foods and not until the infamous Pet Food Recalls of 2007 was the truth about Purina Pet Foods discovered. The Pet Food Recalls of 2007 included only two products produced by Purina Pet Food.
I would like to remind everyone that the pet food recalls of 2007 were not forced recalls. The only pet products pulled from the shelves were the products pet food companies voluntarily chose to recall. There is no regulatory body governing the pet food industry which would tell the pet food producers and marketers that a certain product must be recalled.
Purina Pet Food is a trusted household name. Another trusted household name decided to purchase Purina. We all know this company as Nestle. Nestle produces a number of products from candy to drink mixes and now pet food. When Nestle purchased Purina the pet food division was named Nestle Purina PetCare. Nestle Purina PetCare makes an annual income of nearly $2,800,000,000. Two billion. Almost three billion dollars a year income from producing pet foods.
Nestle Purina PetCare has taken these trusted household names and began producing and marketing substandard, unhealthy pet foods for your cats and your dogs. The pet foods which Nestle Purina PetCare produces have been responsible for an uncountable number of pet illness and death due to Nestle Purina PetCare's use of corn, wheat, soy, and other unhealthy ingredients in a cat and dog's diet. In fact, there have been so many pet illnesses and pet deaths associated with the diets Nestle Purina PetCare provides that at least one Class Action lawsuit has been filed against the company. The Class Action suite filed agaist Nestle Purina PetCare claims false advertising as Nestle Purina PetCare claims to provide healthy pet foods.
Nestle Purina PetCare knows and understands their name is trusted and their products are not questioned. Realizing the public relies and depends on these combined good names Nestle Purina PetCare has formed a new branch of their company. This new branch is called PurinaCare Insurance Services Inc. PurinaCare Insurance national corporate headquarters is located in San Antonio, Texas.
PurinaCare allows dog and cat owners to take advantage of advanced medical treatments that have been adapted for veterinary medicine, including cat scans, MRIs and chemotherapy. Owners that have the proper pet health insurance coverage will be able to have the brunt of these costs covered, much like health insurance for humans.
How about that, Nestle Purina PetCare makes your pets sick and places the pets in the throws of death then PurinaCare Insurance (paid for by you) will provide the care and treatment your pet deserves. What a scam! How much a year will these "trusted names" generate from treating your pet for conditions cause by the poor pet foods Nestle Purina PetCare produce? I don't think we will be seeing any pet food recalls from Purina nor will we be seeing any improvement in the quality of the pet foods Nestle Purina PetCare produce. Why would Nestle Purina PetCare change to a healthy pet food when the names are trusted, the products are trusted, and PurinaCare Insurance can rake in a ton of bucks making your pet feel better.

Why would a company that makes billions of dollars selling pet foods and products want animals to die? I would think Nestle Purina Petcare would want animals to live, so they could sell more products. In addition, maybe they created a pet insurance, so animals would then live even longer, and Nestle Purina could sell more products? I was just wondering?
Confused,
I do not understand why a pet food company would want to put killer ingredients in their pet foods to begin with. I think the company is hoping to keep the public in the dark as to the cause of their pets' illnesses then rake in the bucks in medical insurance. I won't be surprised if Purina begins pet health care in the near future.
All the good things Purina stood for was tossed in the dirt when the company went broke in '99 and had to sell out to other companies.
