The prime question to ask ourselves is this: What makes Network Marketing/Direct Sales, MLM or a Home Based Business Opportunity very unique? Why would people be involved in a Network Marketing/Direct Sales business? The average Joe on the road will call it a scam or a ponzi scheme, but then, you get to ask him a ponzi scheme is, and he doesn't even know it! If this average Joe can comprehend it, Network Marketing/Direct Sales, MLM or the Home Based Business Opportunity is the way by which he can be transformed from being an "ordinary" Joe to being an "extraordinary" Joe.

One of the most wonderful beauty of Network Marketing/Direct Sales business, which I really must stress and point out to you, is the characteristics that a Home Based Business Opportunity, Network Marketing/Direct Sales or any MLM business carries. It is based on the fact that in this type of business model (recommended by Billionaire and #1 Business Author, Donald Trump, and #1 Personal Finance Author, Robert Kiyosaki in their co-authored book, Why We Want You To Be Rich), unlike the traditional-type or traditional-based Profit System, there are quite a number of things that you don't have or need to worry about. You don't need to worry about having employees, warehousing, manufacturing. You also don't have need for any special equipment (except, of course, for a computer and a phone which you most probably have now, and you're set and good to go!), no accounting, no real estate, no shipping, no R&D (Research & Development). The exact definition or description, or basically, what happens in the Network Marketing/Direct Sales business is that you are just building a network, from person to person - just building a relationship - this is what quite a lot of people would call the perfect business - Leverage & Invisible Profit System.

Well, in a Home Based Business Opportunity, Network Marketing/Direct Sales or any MLM business, you very much own your own company. Can you imagine that?! You are NOT working for someone; you are an independent contractor; that is, you work for yourself and get paid by the Network Marketing/Direct Sales company (sometimes called the parent company) to coach and build even more contractors through your network with, of course, limited/low startup cost, compared to the Traditional Profit System (e.g: fast food franchises like McDonalds, Wendys, etc).

In order to be very efficient and for you to be able to do very well in this business, find a Home Based Business Opportunity, Network Marketing/Direct Sales, or any MLM business that you are absolutely passionate about, especially in terms of their marketed products, and then, their compensation plan as well. Of course, you don't want to forget their compensation plan - the income you can achieve from the business opportunity. On a personal note, the reason why I prefer a Network Marketing/Direct Sales business to an MLM business is because the payoff and the commissions in the Network Marketing/Direct Sales business are significantly high when compared to the MLM business.

Also, I want to point out an interesting note. The great thing about this business, that is, the Home Based Business Opportunity, Network Marketing/Direct Sales or MLM business, is that you have the flexibility! This is much unlike the Wage System or the J-O-B (Just Over Broke) status where you have to be there at a certain time and at a certain location; you are being limited by time and space. And with the Network Marketing/Direct Sales business, you get to earn large residual income as well, that is, getting paid off of the work of other people that are in business with you. With time, the average ordinary person that works this proven system usually earns about $20,000, $30,000 and $60,000 a month (NOT a year). Remember that I said and boldly underlined "With time" in the previous sentence because unfortunately, many network marketers present or pitch this business as a get-rich-quick-scheme which IT ABSOLUTELY IS NOT. Of course, there are usually exceptions where you have some exceptional network marketers who have made it in a quite a short period of time, but that's usually because they've put in considerably huge amount or great "chunks" of time and efforts at-a-time in their Network Marketing/Direct Sales or MLM businesses. The wonderful thing about this great Industry, the Network Marketing/Direct Sales or the Home Based Business Opportunity is that those that apply the stick-to-it-tiveness attributes to the industry are greatly rewarded in due time because they never quit. My question to you is this: What kind of effort and time are you willing to put or sacrifice in order to receive true financial freedom and independence? Where will you be financially in the next 10 years? Where would you rather be - In the WAGE System or In the PROFIT System? If you stayed in the WAGE System for the next 10 years, how much would you have grown into your financial independence?
