Internet Network Marketing, succeed before you lead. That's a strange opening statement isn't it.

To lead people to success is not an easy thing to do. The only way to be successful at this, is to be succeeding at what you're doing and pretty much lead by example.

To have knowledge of something is good, but unless you're effectively and persistently applying it, it's no good to man or beast..

A successful leader must plan his work and work his plan. If you're a network marketer, you have heard that statement at least a dozen times. There really is no truer saying. Consistant and persistant is the key to success, you have to be definate about your plans and then take action regularly.

Procrastination is one of the most common causes of failure. Many times it's because we just don't know where to start, so we stop before we've even begun.

What I found with network marketing is that insufficient education stopped me from going forward. Successful strategies and techniques have changed for this business as the years have gone by. What worked really well 10 years ago, I have found through experience, most certainly does not work effectively now. One can still go out and prospect every human being they come into contact with, but how many times do you have to do that to really be successful? And more importantly, how much time and effort do you have to invest to try and keep these people in your business?

I read a story not so long ago emphasizing being effective, which made perfect sense to me and I'm sure you'll get the message too.

Let's say you and a friend decide to have a race from A to B. We'll call "A" Sydney and "B" Brisbane. Your friend decides they will buy the best bicycle out there on the market, very fancy and expensive and ride the whole way. You decide you will fly by plane. Your friend encounter a few storms on the way and has to make a number of over night stops. They get to Brisbane totally shattered after a few days. You however, spend a night at a resort on the way and then get to Brisbane in 2 days, quite refreshed.

It's a silly story I know, but boy does it make a lot of sense. Why take the bike, when you can fly.

Old school network marketing is the bicycle way, long and tedious and you feel exhausted and burnt out after a while.

So you ask, is there any other way to build our business, we've only ever been taught to build a huge list of names, contact them, and then move on to prospecting whoever we could come into contact with, whether they are interested or not...........

Well yes, there is another way, the plane. This route was quicker and more effective.
