Free Network Marketing Leads Generation - Can the Spam & Give Value First

Network Marketing Entreprenuers And The Selling Mindset

In network marketing too many people have the wrong approach to doing this business.

For most distributors the goal is to get before you give.

What do I mean by this?

Here's the typical recruiting process...

You share a marketing tool with your prospect that talks about your network marketing company products and compensation plan.

You promise to help them make money with this business so they can get what they want out of life.

Of course the person must sign up first as a distributor for your network marketing company and buy the products.

You get paid first before you have provided any value to that customer.

Then, hopefully you will provide value to that person after you have already gotten paid.

And we wonder why no one wants to sign up with us!

When you are generating leads using free network marketing leads generation strategies, you must change this mindset and approach.

Instead of looking at what you can get from the prospect, you need to look at how you can add value to the prospect.

Network Marketing Leads Generation On The Internet Using Web 2.0 - Use a Different Approach

For example, let's say you are looking to use one of the social content sharing web sites like Squidoo or Hubpages to attract an audience.

This scenario also works if you are writing content for a blog or submitting an article to an article directory.

When you write the article or content for this source, the entire focus on the article should be on how you can give to this prospect (any prospect that's your target market).

Your focus should not be on what you can get from the prospect.

Write the article with the mindset of "what if I got paid whether the prospect signed up with me or not based on the value I give here?"

If you write your articles with that mindset, you will have more effective content that will help you make money long term.

This same philosophy of give first before you receive must also be adapted on your lead capture page.

Instead of just asking for your prospects contact info, you must offer something of value first.

Perhaps you can give them a free report or a free e-course.

You must adapt this "give first" philosophy in your email marketing follow up campaign as well.

Otherwise, you will simply have a bunch of prospects that unsubscribe from your list.

STOP SPAMMING

Network Marketing Spamming Is Bad For YOU
Network Marketing Spamming Is Bad For YOU

Is Your Name On The Internet Network Marketing "Spammers" List?

Most distributors in MLM miss this completely and look like selfish spammers.

I'm sure you constantly get "pitch" emails from MLM distributors that offer absolutely no value.

Here's an example of the type of email I'm talking about...

Can I pay you *$39 by Paypal? Turn Your *$39 into *$39,000 in just 7 Days. Spend 13 minutes 43 seconds on this program and you'll be earning real money online.

Can you say "spammer?"

Here's an example of a profile from a distributor.

The display name is nameofcompany.com IBO#xxxxxxx with a profile page promoting company products.

Where's the value?

My favorite one is some of the comments people leave on the blogs. Here's an example of one...

"Do you like chocolate? If so you can make money with my company.

Click on www.mywebsite.com to learn more."

or

"Great post!" - www.mywebsite.com

This is NOT the message you want to send.

Most MLM distributors have been taught the old school methods of prospecting.

These methods are basically SPAMMING in an offline sense.

The only difference is that it is legal to do it offline but illegal to do it online.

These techniques may have worked in years past but they are no longer effective today.

The World Is Changing - And Your Network Marketing Business Building Approach Should Too

We live in a new world where people want to see your willingness to give before you can ask to get something.

One marketing expert coined the term "moving the free line" to describe this trend.

This is exactly how television and radio work and why it has worked well for years.

You tune into a television or radio show to see or listen to content that you have an interest in. Spread throughout the content are commercials that you can watch or listen to.

You don't mind the commercials as long as you get to see or hear what you came to that channel or station to see or hear.

Duplicate this process with prospecting in your MLM business.

It works.

DiDi: Thanks for reminding everyone that the times are changing and if you really want to be successful you must learn the new rules of marketing. Actually I like the new rules much better than the old!

Hi Didi,

Well written and to the point. Aren't we all tired of those "spammy" emails that we receive every day.

I agree with glycodoc if we want to be successful we must learn the new rules of marketing, and like him I like the new rules much better.

Hi Didi: You have made your point well. The video certainly reinforces the new rules of on-line marketing, especially using the obnoxious email you received as an example. Always deliver value first! Stop pitching. Great job!

Didi, this info is excellent. We need to hear and read often the importance of giving value before expecting anything. Thank you.

Network marketing spammers definately are loosers!

It's just so unfortunate that many new internet marketers fall into this trap. That's why it's so important for them to find a good mentor and get proper training like that taught at Renegade University.

Didi, you're a true credit to both the network marketing industry and to Renegade University. Your clients and team are truly blessed to have you guiding them.

Keep spreading the word because when we work together we ALL succeed!

Hi Didi,

I couldn't agree with you more. It is a great message that you are conveying and it is obviously one that is close to your heart.

To quote Zig Ziglar,

"You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want"

Great Hub Page!

Very good work Didi! It made me smile while reading your words. I thinks it takes some people more time than others to see that their content is not working and then wonder why.

Some people get it right away and some keep spamming and spamming. Gives people who have a very good product to offer a very bad name and makes us work even harder to find that target market.

The "How To Write With Pull" webinar course by Mike Klingler in the Renegade University Professional is highly advised for all those having writers block and all those wondering why? Why am I not generating leads?

I wish this hub could go out to every network marketer, old or new, as the very first lesson they absolutely must learn! We can't hear it often enough because it is so fundamental to the success of our business and the quality we bring to our clients. Thanks for your wisdom, as always.

Didi,

I'm glad you were clear on what spamming is. I don't think a lot of people even realize that they are thought of that way. I hope more and more realize there's a more attractive way to do business.

Thanks, Becky Joubert

Well Done! - Safe lists are so close to spamming too. People sign on some site to get a free ebook - they don't read the small print - next thing they get is unlimited emails. I cll that "Trickery".

I am glad to see you post this DiDi and you did a great job with it. I think as we all move forward, spam is becomming easier to spot. But it is good to be reminded of the balance of a give and take partnership as you did with this hub.

Didi, where is the return comment love to all the comment love? These commenters need to feel the love...

In other words, responses to comments get a lot of mileage.

Hi Toddie,

Thanks for that! This is so true. :) But I guess I have been waiting for someone like you to come and point that out so we can all learn a lesson.

What you say it's very true. So everyone listen - If you are trying to build an audience on the Internet with content sharing sites and would like to have a good following you should also support that following by encouraging them and responding to their comments. :)

So thank you all for your comments! You know I love you so much! I am glad that it's benefitting you to read this article and that it's a great reminder for many of you as to what's right to do and what's not.

ToddieM is very right and if there is one thing from me that you should not model that's the speed I respond to the comments at my Hub. :) You will do a lot better when building relationships when you create an ongoing conversation with anyone who comments on your content.

Hi Didi

A well put together reminder to all of us. All real marketing starts with value. I'm building a new house right now - how often I buy from someone who provides information of value to me rather than from someone who just tries to sell me on their product or service! Value wins every time! Price is secondary.

Cheers
