In the past, you had to talk to people face to face in order to pitch your ideas. Those days are long gone and I'm glad. I started using Facebook just a few months ago and I have quickly seen impressive results.

The first thing you need to do is create an account. Easy huh? Next create your profile and upload your profile picture. The next thing you can do is to write something about yourself in the section just below your profile picture. This is where you would also plug in your website address to get website traffic coming to you. This is the most obvious place to do this but there are many more places to plug your website on Facebook.

Once very important thing, if you want to get network marketing leads and create true relationships with people, fill out all the sections about yourself to build trust and credibility. Don't miss any sections or areas in the profile part of the setup. Let people really know about yourself and not your business. You want people to like you and respect you. If you are just spamming, you will not be succesful in MLM. People will have a negative view of you. So remember, write as much as possible to attract people to you. Also, make sure to upload pictures of you and your friends, family, spouse, and children if you have them. You want to upload pictures of yourself having fun, out on the town, vacation, etc.

Finding friends and targeting network marketers is really easy. Here is what you need to do. Go to the top right on face book where it says "applications" and click on "groups". Once you are in the groups area you need to type in "network marketing" in the search field and hit the enter button on your keyboard. A new list of network marketing groups will come up. You will see how many there are and how many members each one has. This is the area you will want to focus on if you want to target people in network marketing.

Scroll through the list and click on the groups that interest you the most. Once you do this you can join the group, make comments in that group and add new friends to your mlm friends list. Inside you will see many peoples comments, videos, and information. Spend some time doing this by adding as many friends as possible that you would like to work with. If you want to be successful with this I will again emphasize that you need to add as many friends as you can. Go for five thousand friends if you are serious about this. You can achieve this in one week or one month it's up to you.

Once you get your five thousand network marketing friends from these network marketing groups, you will want to start your own group. So far we have just scratched the surface. Ok, you will want to come up with a good name for your group that says you are worthwhile. You want to create a name that says they will get value from joining your group. You are not selling anything at this point so it won't be that hard to get people interested. You already have five thousand friends at this point so you will want to ask them to join your group. If your group area has cool links, videos and information of value, people will want to join your group and add ideas, information, and value to your group area. It will start to grow right before your eyes.

Now that you are a group owner and have some people that have joined your group, you will want to ask a few of them to be admins to help you. This will help make you look legitimate and will help grow the group even bigger! Make sure you find trustworthy helpers by first building trust.

Within a short period of time, you will see that your group has really prospered. Your number of member will go up everyday. People are always joining groups on Facebook. It's nothing new and many people are just like you looking to make friends so they will join your group, just like you joined groups to make friends in the beginning. Get it?

Here is the cool part. Once your group is big enough, you can contact other network marketing group owners. You're not a small fish in the sea anymore at this point. You have some weight to throw around. You can contact other group owners and ask them to send a message to all their group members on your behalf. The message will be simply to have them join your group. That's it. No product spam. This is just two group owners helping each other. You will do it for them and they will do it for you. If you ask a group owner with a much larger member list than you, they might say no. If you ask a group owner with a smaller member list than you, they most likely will say yes because it's in their favor. So you have to give a little to get a little but in the long run you get a lot.

Start looking for group owners with smaller lists than you and keep networking with them using this technique. Soon you will have networks of people joining your group instead of just one or two like before. Are you still with me? It's like fishing with a net instead of a fishing pole.

Your group will grow into a massive network of network marketers. You will have targeted the people you were looking for in the first place. Network marketers already believe in the business model. You don't have to convince them or tell them it's not a pyramid scheme. They are already on board.

Now you are a leader in the business. You create value and people in the business know who you are. Your name will get around fast! This is how you brand yourself as a leader in this business. People will want to join your business simply because you are the group owner and value is perceived. There is a perception of trust here. So, get out there and have some fun with Facebook.
