I typed Network Marketing Training into google today and looked at all the offerings on page one. I must say, I was very disappointed, as most were still re-hashing the same hype that has been pumped out since the 50's. I'm not saying that these outdated methods won't work, they obviously do for some people, and usually the ones you see on a motivational stage!

Unfortunately most of us are not like that, we are ordinary people who want to break away from our 9-5 job and achieve a residual income stream. (Rich would be nice, but not let's get carried away just yet).

Like most people, I have tried many MLM companies and followed the training they gave out, and it just didn't seem to work. At first I thought it was me but then it dawned on me that the downline I did manage to recruit were not doing much better either, if not worse. So, I put my few brain cells to work and decided that if I can't make any money and my downline can't make any money it must be the training we are given. Quite simple really. There are many myths and lies told about MLM training and the MLM companies don't like to admit that they have go it wrong..

Not much has changed over the years, "until now". Network Marketing has still got to be one of the most rewarding home business opportunities available, but only when you decide change the way you approach it!

The majority of MLM companies today offer products and services that the average person uses on a daily and consistent basis. Products and services like; Communication Services, Internet Access, Nutritional Products, Weight Loss Programs, Water Filtration Systems, Financial Programs, Electrical Power, Solar Power etc. So there has got to be one that you want to be a part of. Unfortunately it's way to easy to lose money instead of making it.

The true secret is getting prospects to approach you and then giving advice that is useful, works and, wait for it.... cheap. Then after you have honestly given it, to be perfectly indifferent whether it is taken or not, and never persist in trying to set people right. You only want to teach people who are keen, not someone who has been drawn in by a slick sales letter promising the earth.

The right training is required, not optional for your ultimate success! But up until now, only the same old hype was being taught. I don't need to tell you how it goes because if you have been involved in any MLM company you will have been exposed to it, and it probably hasn't worked.

This is why so many people ultimately fail! To succeed you will need to build your business with a systematic approach. You would not try to fly an airplane without learning many of the basics, would you? And you wouldn't expect to be able to fly a jet or run a business in 3 months would you?

Everyone gets started in this industry with the best intentions. Yet, many of you have never done this before! I cannot tell you the number of times that someone I've talked with joined a company, was promised help with building landing pages, promotion etc... only to have their up-line disappear. (Because it wasn't working for them either).

Laying a proper & solid foundation for you business will pay you huge dividends in the future. But don't expect huge results straight away.

Getting a solid education should be the highest priority, as a Network Marketer it is not anyone's responsibility for your ultimate success or failure but your own. Never forget that.

What you need to do is find out how to get prospects to come to you, offer to help them, teach them what you have learnt so they can do the same. Simple really. But I can't emphasise enough, it takes time, for a while you won't see any results. But, as long as you are consistent, do a bit every day, do it correctly, you will get results.

Why Do Network Marketers Fail with Leads?

This is easy, they are probably the wrong sort of leads, and they have signed up because they have been told that the system does 95% of the work. This may be true but it is the 5%, motivating the prospect, which is the difficult bit. So if you are recruiting people that are not expecting to do anything, what chance have you got?

You need to learn how to use social networking correctly and not to make the mistakes and pitfalls that most people using social networking make.

Without the proper Network Marketing Training, attracting prospects to you, can be very difficult and you may not have much success. Or out of shear luck you may manage to make a few sales or recruit a few people. It's far better to be building your business by design then by chance.

Network Marketing is not about systems, video's, web 2.0, articles etc., these are just tools. It is about developing long lasting personal relationships. However you need the tools to start the long lasting relationships. Learn to communicate, connect, teach and help other Network Marketers and you are set for life, no matter what you do! Even with all the negatives, network marketing is still the best way to work at home and earn good maney.
