Network Marketing is Like Gardening
57Network Marketing is Like Growing a Garden
I was out working in my vegetable garden this morning and I couldn't help but see how much my Network Marketing life is similar to my vegetable garden.
When you're gardening, often times you begin by preparing the soil. If you've used the area last year, it may mean that you have to use a rototiller to break up the weeds and mix in the fertilizers, then you break down the clods (depending on where you live and the type of soil you have), rake out the soil, and layout your garden for planting. You prepare the rows, and plant the seeds, water, allow God to shine his sun on your newly planted garden and wait for the harvest.
In much the same way, when you use the Attraction Marketing method in Network Marketing, you begin by preparing the soil, or in our case; introducing ourselves to our potential partners or customers. Hopefully, as you talk, listening to their concerns, hopes, dreams, and goals you'll begin to understand why they are looking at this business and what is the best way to help them achieve their goals. You'll begin to cull through the weeds of their lives, helping them to discard the things that hold them back, disappoint them, and discourage them. Then, if your opportunity is right for them; you begin to bring new ideas, techniques, training skills, and opportunities to the "soil" and fertilize the prepared land.
After you plant, you'll then begin to nurture, teach, train, and mentor them to "business" readiness, so that they no longer need you, but can survive on their own. There's something I need to mention here. Although, our part is significant, it's important to note that these new partners, though fragile, will grow on their own with your assistance. If they don't contact you for help, or ask for assistance in any way, there is nothing you can do and hopefully they'll thrive on their own. There are always those team members that want to fly by themselves and that's okay. We just need to stay close by in case they need us.
I've learned that in most opportunities and gardens, there are a variety of plants and individuals sprouting. It takes time to nurture the garden. It doesn't happen overnight and often training is necessary to see any results at all. The best and most thorough training I've found is with the Renegade University. The beauty of this is that you can sign up for FREE and test drive the program. It's amazing...so tremendously helpful. On a personal note, I've found Mike Klingler's instruction to be superb. He is slow and methodical, allowing students, young and old, novice and expert, to thrive under his tutelage. I quickly saw the benefits to being a part of the Renegade Pro instruction program through Marketing Merge and the Renegade University.

Networking Marketing and Gardening Part II
As with most gardens and in most businesses. The best of the best is when your garden reaches maturity and can be enjoyed by all those around you. It's truly unlike anything else, when you see someone you've helped achieve the success and financial freedom we've all longed for. Dreams, goals, victories are ours to be had, but we need to cultivate the soil, prepare the land, plant the seeds, nurture the tiny plants and watch them grow and thrive. So you see...gardening is much like Network Marketing isn't it?

Good hub Colleen on the analogy that network marketing is like tending to a garden. So many people expect success overnight and it just doesn't happen like that.
Just like a garden it takes time to grow...and it will as long as the gardent is getting the proper nutrients. RU is an awesome way to help people nurture their "garden" so it can grow into something great.
Keep up the great Hubs!
