What is Success?

People often don't recognize their success in life or what they achieve from their MLM home business. They seem to think that if network marketing isn't easy enough, or they have to learn something new, or they aren't making millions of dollars in 6 months-then it (and they) are failures.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.

How do you judge success or failure in network marketing-or in any traditional business? Statistically it is not only that you didn't make as much money as you wanted, but the amount of debt you come away with. Most people in MLM just get discouraged and close their doors. (And many of them never really intended to give it equal time and energy they would give a traditional business with a $50,000 up-front investment.)

But consider this: I talked to one man who had been with a wellness network marketing business for about 8 years. He had worked hard for a couple of years and then got discouraged because he wasn't growing fast enough. He was not doing anything currently to build his business. He was discouraged and considered himself a failure but ordered the products faithfully because he loved them.

Any checks?

I asked if he still got any checks. He said yes. Between $600 and $800 a month. I was flabbergasted and did some quick calculations. 12 months x $700 = $8,400 per year. Times 6 years (we won't count his first 2 growing years) = $50,000. What other investment do you know of where you have no capital at risk and you can net $50,000 in 6 years? I call that pretty successful.

I know some people who have never put much effort into learning about marketing-let alone doing it. Yet from the little effort they have made sharing their experience, they receive $100 - $200 per month. Now even if they are only being able to supplement their family's diet for FREE. That sounds like success to me.

There are many ways to judge success.

Robert Kiyosaki, financial educator and best selling author believes that one of the most valuable aspects in a network marketing home business is the personal growth associated with it. Confidence and a willner's mindset.

Anyone starting any business needs to attain a certain level of confidence and self determination. Starting a traditional business requires a person to do that first-to sell an idea, gather capital, etc. Network marketing is different because anyone can get started and personal development support comes along slowly.

This new era of network marketing on the internet is no different from any other business. Ann Sieg's e-book The Renegade Network Marketer paves the way for a real network marketing business. When people read it often a light bulb go off in the head. an A-ha. That this is the way. But then, how?

I had a friend who read Ann sieg's Renegade Network Marketer and KNEW that if she was going to make it with network marketing in a big way. She needed to step into the network marketing of the future. And that meant learning attraction marketing on the internet.

Internet Marketing

She was very unfamiliar with computers and the internet. She was 50+ and had been told all her life that she was not smart enough to learn anything. Learning anything new takes some effort. but stepping into a totally foreign arena takes courage. She had had difficulty in school and growing up, but was determined she was going to learn this new skill. She needed internet and network marketing training (for beginners) desperately.

The Renegade University filled the bill with step-by-step training starting at ground zero. She worked hard. The part that was most difficult for her was the fact that what she was learning to do was to represent her value on the internet-as someone others would like to do business with. It was a huge stretch. (Personal development in the max)

Confidence grows.

She was faithful to the training process, re-watching tutorials as often as necessary to "get" each section. Putting together her content, linking and book-marking them, and joining social sites. Then things started "clicking" more. Gradually she began to experience confidence and value herself more

She started to see clicks on her pages and people joining her. But the chief triumph is the major shift in her confidence and posture as a leader. And not just in her network marketing business.
