How to reach success in your network marketing home-business.
54What does it really take?
The first thing we need to ask ourselves is do we have the skill & will to do what it takes to reach success? Skill as well as attitude will play a huge role in our success or defeat. The good news is we have control over both our skill & frame of mind. Skill will give us the know how & a right attitude provides the push to stick with it. But, don’t make the mistake of feeling like you have to know everything before you start taking action. We all just have to start from where we are & take advantage of opportunities to improve ourselves. Everyone has challenges & setbacks. It’s how we handle them that makes the difference. Your attitude toward challenges can create motivation to excel or discouragement to defeat. It’s your choice!
What should I focus on?
If we will only learn to focus on what is within our control, we will began working on what matters instead of wasting our time on what we can’t change anyway. Worrying about things is such a waste of time anyway! It just steals out time & energy. Instead, spend your time learning & moving forward. To help keep your focus in the right place, reflect daily on your goals & accomplishments so far, even the small ones. If you remain in a grateful state & focus on the small victories, it’s sure to lead to larger ones. So, make it a habit to think about what you’re grateful for. There is always someone worse off than you so be thankful for what you have!
How much time do I have to put in?
As far as your home-business goes, you need to make it a real priority & treat it like a job. This does not mean you neglect your other priorities. But, if you have 20 hours a week to devote to your business, schedule that & stick with it. There will be times when things will come up but learning to manage those times & treat your business like a business will make all the difference. I have learned it to be true that “If you treat your business like a hobby, it will COST you like a hobby. If you treat your business like a business, it will PAY you like a business.” Even though I had very little time when I first started my business since I was working a full time job, I made the time I did have to work my business really count. And, even though you may not reach instant success, being diligent with even 10-20 hours/wk can get you to where you want to be.
Do I need invesment money?
Yes, you need to have some investment money. It does not have to be a lot but it’s unrealistic to expect to start a profitable business with no seed money. Again, it does not necessarily have to be a lot. One of the best investments I ever made was $67 when I purchased The Renegade Network Marketer . This taught me so much including how to start generating multiple streams of income to offset expenses & add to profit. And, one of the biggest lessons was how to attract prospects to me so I no longer had to spend money buying leads & wasting my time trying to catch up with people that really were not even interested anyway. The information I learned & applied from this one source taught me so much & has paid for itself many times over. More importantly, I really began enjoying working my business! Things like this are the learning opportunities that we want to take advantage of to move ahead instead of staying stagnant.
So, what's the bottom line?
So, set goals & take consistent daily action. Again, even if you only have a couple of hours a day, a disciplined couple of hours can produce more than a whole day of scattered time. Keep learning- never quit! Take one step at a time. Trial & error is OK. It’s a way to learn what works & what doesn’t. Position your mindset with an attitude of gratefulness. Accept responsibility for outcomes & learn from them. Remember that challenges are a given. It’s what you do with them that count! When you fail, realize that’s just a part of life & move on. Don’t dwell on it. And know that we really do have the world at our fingertips. With the Internet, there has never been a better time to start a home-business.
