Nevada is a lucrative state for a Dream Career and a variety of jobs that pay very well. It is a hub for the gaming, hositality and entertainment industry that caters to individuals, families, and business people from around the globe.

In singer and actor Dean Martin's last years, he talked often and fondly of his days as a blackjack dealer in Las Vegas. It is in and around Las Vegas that most of Nevada's largest employers are located today.

I enjoy Nevada for it's climate and history, as well as for its tourist attractions and grand hotel-casinos. Attending conferences in Las Vegas has always been a lot of fun.

One August evening during a poetry convention I attended in Las Vegas, the temperature reached nearly 110 degrees. That evening when I left the hotel to do some site seeing, I was suprised that it was still 98 degrees at 9:00 pm, especially since up in the hotel room, the Nevada winds outside had created the sounds of winter winds to my ears!

The fastest growing jobs in Nevada are in the industries of Information technology (IT), Healthcare, Education, and Entertainment, with additional top jobs in Collections, Social and Human Services, Translation and Interpretors and the Clergy rounding out the Top 20 List.
