It is important to have goals and a plan in your life to achieve those goals. I am a born dreamer. I sit and dream about the things I want in my life, for my two kids, my parents, siblings, partner and myself. I don't dream small and my dreams are in vivid beautiful colors.

When I embarked upon writing and actually publishing a book, I had many naysayers that looked at me like I was trying to fly to the moon. I know it's a huge thing writing a book and actually getting it published and then someone buying and reading it, but as I walk through Barnes & Noble I see thousands of books and people buying and reading them, so I believe it can be done and I'm going to be one of those authors that sells good books.

I believe that if I put my effort into something 100% and do everything I need to do to make my dreams a reality, then they will in time. I believe in my ability and everyone to make a difference in the world in a positive way. When I read what others are writing about in their hubs I believe even more that there are many people in the world with positive energy, great dreams and many important things to say.

When I talked about the book I was writing and what it meant to me, many said without actually saying it, that they did not believe I had the chops to do it. I realize they probably don't know that part of me that loves to write and can do it fairly well, so they did not understand. The sad thing is when people laugh at your dreams. How very hurtful is that to another persons feelings?

I know for sure that if people do not have dreams they don't have much. Dreams are so important. If you are not aspiring to do anything in your life besides exist day in and day out, then what is the point?

Take for instance the 9-5 job I do everyday. I enjoy the people I work with, but I am not fulfilled or inspired with the work. I am working to help achieve another person's dreams. I'll never gain anything from doing work that another person makes millions of dollars on. I feel dead ended and I want more for my life.

Having my dreams inspires me to move forward and do something great for my own life. I realize that in order for my dreams to come true, I must work hard and sacrifice daily to reach what I've seen in my deepest thoughts. I have much because I have my dreams and goals. I will rise and see my star shining brightly and it is unfortunate that others find it acceptable to say that I can't or that I shouldn't try.

I am sorry for all the people in the world that have no dreams for their future and I hope that someday they will as I do and when someone tells them about a dream they have, that they will encourage them to reach as high as they can to get their dream and may it be in beautiful colors.
