2009 Infiniti FX50 Not Just a Man’s Ride Anymore!
The majority of FX50 buyers have in the past been men. So Infiniti has taken a few steps to make this SUV appeal to the soccer mom crowd right? We'll maybe not. First the ride was softened a bit so women could do their make-up without getting it all over the place. But then slap on some GIANT ENROMOUS 21-inch rims and we are back at square one when it comes to that softer ride....oh well...sorry Maybalene!
So then what more could a woman want....well in the words of Tim Allen and his early 90's stand-up; "we need more power arh arh!" or Scotty from the Original Star Trek "Captain we need more Poweeerrrrr!" Whichever the case the New 2009 Infiniti FX50 gets a 70hp bump to 390 total ponies. Just what crazy women drivers need.
This SUV is fully loaded with every gadget and option on the market. Most interesting of all though is the laser guided cruise control which will keep the same distance from the car in front of you no matter the speed. Just set this thing and take a nice nap....oh wait that is next year's feature!
The FX50: All that’s Missing is the Flux Capacitor!
I could swear that the mad scientist Doc Brown from the Back to the Future movies had a hand in the designing of the New Infiniti FX50. There are so many gadgets that I wouldn't be surprised if once it reaches 88mph it will make that jump to the future; actually 1888 would be more fun, to see the look on the faces of the Frontiersman would be priceless.
Nevertheless, the sweet laser cruise control as described above is all the rage of the future. But this car packs many more features, some bordering on the edge of science fiction. First this SUV has an active ATTESA Four-Wheel-Drive system that Nissan has been perfecting for many years. A differential sends power to whatever wheels need it the most. This safety feature has been proven time and time again. The suspension has been crafted from aluminum which allows for greater strength and less weight; always good things when talking about automobiles.
The most exciting piece of technology is called the Around View Mirror. As top secret as a spy plane, this system uses 4 little cameras, 2 located under each side mirror and 1 in the front and 1 in the back of the car. These 4 cameras work together to use ALIEN technology in order to create a skycam type view of the car and the surrounding area, all in the hopes of keeping the beautiful exterior ding and scratch free. Finally my pregnant wife will not have to guide me in the parking spot like she's landing a plane.
