Infiniti knows what is going on in the auto world! Take the beautiful G35. This car has been a top seller and a favorite among enthusiasts for some time. So when the time came for a redesign; Infiniti stuck to its guns and followed form over function. The New 2009 Infiniti G37 is even more stunning, faster, and sporty than its G35 predecessor!

Let's begin with the meat of this machine. The VQ35 engine, which is now a stable in the Nissan family, has been stroked to 3.7 liters. This gives the VQ some more bottom end torque. The top end received some more valve timing and a little more top end trickery to produce a whopping 330 hp! Not too shabby for a V-6. Now take for instance the main rival of the G37: the BMW 335i. This car is also redesigned with a sweet twin-turbo V-6 pushing 300hp and 300lb. of torque...So very nice. But the Infiniti eclipse's the BMW's horsepower numbers with all motor madness.

The body sports a more aggressive styling. But the interior and cargo space has suffered a tiny because of this. But as you can see in the accompanying photos; these changes are well worth it. This car is visually stunning. But who cares about this stuff, let's talk performance. The brakes are super huge: 14.0 inches in the front and 13.8 inches out back. That is as big as some rims on economy cars! There is an all new 4-wheel active steering system that really adds to the driving prowess and track capability. Finish off the package with huge 19 inch rims and super sticky Bridgestone Potenza tires and you have a Luxury car that can open a can of Whoop-***!

Like an assassin the G37 has one mission in mind; to knock BMW down a few pegs. BMW has long set the bar in the luxury sport category, but the new Infiniti G37 takes aim at the #1 spot. While the new BMW 335i has been making some serious wave, so too has the all new G37.

The two cars are virtuall the same in performance, new eye-catching styling, and comfort. But there is one thing that catapults the G37 to the top; its price! At $48k the BMW is the definition of first class luxury, but at $40k there is no denying that the cheaper cost is more than enough to make up for any short coming the G37 might have....although I have yet to find any. Actually the only downfall is the enchanting exhaust note....like a crack-addict I find myself wanting more!
