69The Potplant and Painting Business Idea
In most peoples home town or nearby is a business district filled with offices and rectuarants and shopping complexes.
In these times of our latest recession, there are many folks young and old who may be having garage sales or disposing of surplus household items in an attempt to raise a little extra money.
Consider this Potplant and Painting business. Let us assume that you manage to obtain a collection of potplants and/or painting from around your community.
What you could do is offer a period of time whereby the business on your list could rent from you a painting and some potplants on a rotational system.Let us say you go to Jimmys restuarant and he is looking to spend $20 a month on your business idea for him. You decide to hang a painting in his restuarant foyer with a nice potplant on the counter where his customer pay their bill. In 2 weeks or a months time you return and swop the painting for another and change the potplant for another. He is now your customer for the next month and hans you another $20.
So your next client is an office building where you do the same in the reception or boardroom for them. You now have 2 clients. The benefits of each business not having to maintain the potplants or buy paintings, allows you to formulate a rotation system with all of your clients keeping their work space fresh and appealing to their clients.
You can go one step further to incorporate new artists from around your community on a commision payment system.
You wont have to buy stock, if one of your clients has a customer who enters their reception and like the art display and offers to buy it ,wallah. You have a sale of an artwork and along you come with your next painting for display. Word will soon get around of you business as you are offering an affordable solution to the business community who are not able to buy works of art from their budget in this economic climate.
Go and make friends with a commercial property agent who knows exactly when a new business is moving in to the area and offer your services.
