Google Toolbar 5 for IE
Google Toolbar 5 for IE

Google introduces a new version of Google Toolbar 5 Beta for Internet Explorer, it has many new features and updates that will transform your browsing experience to a new level.

The video shows some of the key additions to Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer. These additions are not available for Firefox but will be released very soon.

You can download the new version here. To see the full updates and new features click this link.

The buttons appear large and provide more information than the previous ones, you can see the YouTube gadget shown below. When you click the small arrow you will see the list of videos without going to the YouTube page.

The autofill feature has been updated. Once you fill the personal information and password, you can carry around the information wherever you go, it will be stored in the Google main server. Once you log in and give permission to Google you can retrieve the data wherever you login.

The notebook feature has been updated also, suppose you want to copy say a recipe item, you can select it and click the bookmarks in the toolbar, it will copy the contents in your notebook. No need to copy and paste.

You should check the Google Toolbar if you are not doing so already, you will find it handy for various tasks in the web. In my opinion, it is one of the best productivity tools available in the web. I haven’t seen any other tool that does so many jobs in one place.

Firefox fans have to wait unfortunately, but the current Google Toolbar version is not bad either.

Thanks MrMarmalade, please try the current Toolbar, it does an awesome job. I will try to make a tutorial and explain it. I don't have soundbites here, but the video will show some of the advantages of Google Toolbar. http://toolbar.google.com/

This is an old post now but thought I'd mention that the "highlight" and "find next" funtions which in version 4 were directly on the toolbar, are now either a drop down box, or, they becomes a seperate toolbar at the bottom of the browser window. For me, this means more clicking just to get the same funtionality, so I am disappointed with the new version and have reverted back to v4.

Dave, I use the Firefox version, I like it but it seems the Internet Explorer has more features than Firefox's Google Toolbar. I hope they bring the same features in Firefox also.

Lgali, initially you will find it slows, but they are extremely useful, it makes us very productive. Instead of having too many toolbars, just try Google Toolbar for Firefox, you will find it very useful. Cheers.

I need help to install Google Toolbar 5.0 for Internet Explorer. The only toolbar availible is 6.0 or 4.0 but I dont want either of those. I also would like to know why google toolbar just updates its toolbar when you install an earlier version.
