There have been some very cool portable display designs introduced over the last two years that will turn some heads. For instance, one new 10' exhibit system packaged as a kit comes with all the basics including lights and shipping cases. Also included is a counter with plasma screen mounts plus a reception counter. A large 4-color tension fabric backwall is also included and represents the latest look for trade shows.

What is a portable display? The very first portable booth was the Pop Up display which was introduced durin the late 1970's. It struck a cord because, unlike the custom exhibit made of plywood at the time, it was affordable, could pack into UPS-able shipping cases, it set up quickly and easily (not to mention it didn't require union labor to set up) and it was easy to store. That pretty much remains the definition of a portable show booth.

During the early part of this decade, portable show booth design stagnated. This has changed, however, as new designs have hit the market. The price point may be higher that the still popular pop up display but the uniqueness of the designs makes up for it for businesses seeking a new look.
