One study performed over a three month period, was performed on a group of factory workers that stood all day. AFter three months the workers in support pantyhose did not have any swelling at the end of the work day. Swelling was decreased in 43% of the workers who wore support pantyhose. In comparison, only 14% of those laborers standing on rubber mats displayed a decrease with swelling in their legs. Results at the end of the three-month study period, just "27% of the workers (regularly wearing sexy support pantyhose) reported... any leg problems, when it was 70% in the beginning." However, the employees left to stand on rubber matts still had the same complaints, if not more.
The wearing of support pantyhose was definitely an improvement and can only get better if proper fit is insured. Workers wearing support pantyhose that complained of the fit were 13%. "If the workers took the time to find the right size of support pantyhose, they usually appreciated the noticable benefits from wearing.
