New Features On iPhone 3G

A host of new iPhone applications will be available with the iPhone 3G. Some of the features includes 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, new App Store etc. Like the original iPhone, it combines three products in one - a widescreen iPod, a revolutionary phone, and a breakthrough Internet device with rich HTML email and a desktop-class web browser. It really redefines what a mobile phone can do.

What You Can Do With The New iPhone 3G

Now you can do a lot more with the new iPhone 3G.

3G Speed : 3G technology gives iPhone fast access to the Internet and email over cellular networks around the world. iPhone 3G also makes it possible to surf the web, download email, get directions, and watch video, even while you are attending a call.

Maps With GPS : Now you can find your location, get directions, and see traffic from your own iPhone. Maps on iPhone 3G combines GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell tower location technology with the Multi Touch interface to create the best mobile map application ever.

App Store : You can find applications in every category, from games to business, education to entertainment, finance to health and fitness, productivity to social networking at the App Store. These applications use advantage of iPhone features such as Multi Touch, the accelerometer, wireless, and GPS. Some of them are even free. You can download them wirelessly and can start using them right away.

iPhone in Enterprise : The new iPhone will definitely mke a great business phone as it supports Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, delivering push email, calendar, and contacts. And it gives mobile users secure access to corporate resources with Cisco IPSec VPN and wireless network services with WPA2 Enterprise and 802.1X authentication.

The new phone will be available in all Apple retail stores and over more than 1800 AT&T locations across the United States.

May be I can afford to have an iPhone this time. I hope it will be released soon in India as well. I always wanted one after reading the many an iPhone reviews! :) Anyway always consider the worthy iPhone Alternatives before you buy!

A very succinct and detailed hub, SunSeven. I know several people who bought the original iPhone and are anxiously awaiting the upgrade deals from their suppliers.

The GPS facility is a must. Have you got an iPhone yourself SunSeven?

news just in from the Uk, SunSeven - O2, the preferred supplier, has announced that the iPhone will be available on PAYG, rather than contract only. That is certain to boost sales massively...

Great move - first you sell as much as you can to people ready to buy at a higher price, and after the buzz is waring off, you release the product for it's actual price and sell to the mass (people saying - now, I can afford one of those!)
