A hot tub for two
A new portable hot tub is ready for homeowners. Spa manufacturer CalSpas just announced the iSpa is ready to reach the market and the Pomona, California, based manufacturer will begin shipments to dealers late next week.
CalSpas did market research to assist in the design and production of the iSpa. The company discovered that 20-something singles, young married couples and empty nest couples felt their needs weren’t served in the current marketplace.
The iSpa, a hot tub built for two, is affordable, said CalSpas president Casey Lloyd, who said buyers are looking for health and lifestyle benefits.
“This isn’t your parent’s hot tub,” he said. “The iSpa is sleek and modern, easy to own and it fits just about anywhere—this is the perfect spa for first time spa owners but we’re also expecting interest from empty nesters who want a hot tub for health reasons or to rekindle the romance now that the kids are out of the house.”
Affordable, versatile spa
The iSpa will sell for less than $ 3,000 and it can be used inside a house or outside.
Hydrotherapy is a main health benefit. The web site, ispadirect.com, states “This treatment is one of the oldest, safest and most affordable ways to take care of the common discomforts that you experience every day, like stress, fatigue and insomnia.”
The iSpa is 43”x83”x31” ad weighs 250 pounds. It has 18 stainless steel jets.
The iSpa has complete details on getting the spa delivered home, setting it up and all necessary specifications.
CalSpas is a leading manufacturer of spas in the United States. The company got its start at the Los Angeles County Fair in 1978. It was actually a pool company displaying molds which fair-goers wanted as hot tubs. A year later, the company was formed and manufacturing hot tubs.
In an interview I did with Loyd, he said CalSpas is having a good year despite the slowdown although it’s not a banner year. He said people still want to invest in their own lifestyle and enjoy their home as a sanctuary from life’s stresses.
CalSpas has a one-mile long manufacturing facility and has diversified its products including CalFlame gas grills, islands for outdoor use and patio furniture.
