New way of Raising Funds for your School or Organization
51Remember when you were in High School and you had to raise money for your sports program. You sold candy bars, popcorn, cookie dough to your parents, family and friends and your parents took the order form to work and begged all their co-workers to buy the "goods". So after you totaled up all of your orders you raised $20 for the organization - Oh Boy
Remember when you had to stand outside in the heat washing cars all day for your team to raise a couple of hundred dollars?
I wanted to write about some new ways to raise money for your team or organization. Very few high school athletic departments have a website that to help promote their athletic department.
3 Ways to Raise $6000 in 90 Days with your Athletic Website
1) Selling Advertising. If you have a team website that is designed properly you should be able to sell advertising in a way that does not distract the users but benefits the advertisers. For example let's say you have a website that contains 30 pages and there are 3 days per page that is 90 available ads slots. Sell 20 of those ads for $200 and you raise $4000.
2) Do contests/giveaway on your websites. Have a local business donate a nice HDTV (of course you will put their ad on your site for free). Have the parents visit your website and donate $5/entry for a chance to win the TV. You only need 200 entries to raise $1000 for your program. Since everything is done through the website the time involvement is very minimal.
3) Sell apparel on the website. Allowing people to order gear directly from your website means your "store" is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
