Dust off your Resume - You're gonna need it

Anywhere USA - Today a group of people got up and got ready for work. That same group of people, braved the traffic on the highway. This group arrived at work, timely and dressed to impress. We will call these people Group A.

The other group of people ... (Group B) had the same morning and the same morning struggles and probably arrived in a timely fashion and dressed just as impressively. But Group A and Group B are very very different.

How can you tell the difference between Group A and Group B... Group B is the group that is WORKING.

Somewhere along the line, Group A missed one of the major reasons for going to "work". That particular group of people, does not consider the word "work" an verb... but rather a noun describing the building where they while away their days, making paper airplanes, playing solitaire and chatting with their friends via their Crackberry..... ummm... I mean Blackberries.

No! Group A, has no time for work... The people in this group are too busy, looking busy, to really get busy.

The Group A individual enjoys several types of vacations, their own and what is referred to as IOV or Inter Office Vaction. The IOV occurs during the week that the boss is on vacation.Without their pesky employer breathing down their neck expecting the results of all the .... busy-ness, the Group A people are free to enjoy their hearts desire, which is nothing less than a personal phone/text/chat/IM "quick errand back in 5" bonanza!

IN my office this week, the Group A people were feeling particularly persecuted and as a result they have gotten it into their heads that several of the Group B have been spreading rumors and lies. Well that's just plan silly.

I wanted the Group A people to know that the Group B people didn't need to say anything.

I wanted the Group A people to know that the Group B people are too busy picking up the slack of the no good lazy Group A's, that the Group B people have no time other then an occasional grumble between incoming customer calls.

I wanted the Group A to know, they aren't fooling anyone. They aren't getting over on anyone, infact there is an ad in the paper right now.

In closing, I suggest that the Group A people currently working in an office environment seek employment outside of the public sector. Perhaps, the state or federal government would be a more appropriate place for your ability to look extremely busy and get absolutely nothing accomplished.
